I just wanted to be a free wind, to become the purest dust in this dark night.
As the first ray of dawn pierced the mist on the horizon, my soul began to glow with a soft, cerulean light, carried on the salt-laced breeze.
Bit by bit, it silently peeled away, dissipating.
I dissolved into countless motes of crystalline dust, vanishing into the vastness of the world.
There was no pain, no sorrow.
This time, I was finally, and utterly, my own.
