The warrior struggled instantly, clawing at its arm. “Get him off!” someone shouted. But before anyone could reach— The creature leaned closer. And something shifted. A pulse. He held out his hands for their inspection. Tryna slid off the table, took his fingers in her tiny hands, and inspected them as if she were a doctor. ~~~ ~Callum's POV~ I lay in my bed, and heavy pants fell from my lips. The work of training the warriors for battle has made me an exhausted man. The warriors we had available were trained harder than every other warrior we've had in the history of the Moon Crescent pack. —there, we have to pay for losing good men in battle. I continued laying on the bed, about to drift off into a beautiful sleep w, when the door to my bedroom cracked open, and the woman who had made herself known to me, and a sigh left my lips.

The warrior shook his head in guilt and shame and looked at the floor. Drago laughed. A chilling, haunting laugh that swarmed the entire warehouse like bees in a hive. From the corner of my eye, I saw Drago reach into his pocket. I held my breath. Was he going to shoot the warrior? He took out a tiny bottle. “Drink this,” he ordered coldly. The warrior looked at the bottle helplessly. “Drink it,” Drago repeated. The warrior continued staring, realising his fate. “NOW!” The warrior took the tiny bottle and gulped it down. The room held its breath. Within a few seconds, the warrior slumped to the floor and I glimpsed foam coming out from his mouth.

Jack starts to head back to the room when I wave him off so I can go back by myself. Slipping into the room I quickly move toward the warrior. He is still sleeping, and I can see sweat dripping from his brow. I had closed the door when I entered and moved around the bed to the injured side. Putting both my hands above the injury, I move my hands forward to touch the cloth hiding the wound. The warrior stirs briefly and then settles. I start to move my hands to pull the infection from his body. The injury is on his right leg. I can feel a twinge of pain on my right leg, but it is not a huge injury. I have managed to catch the infection before it spreads.
