Hera insulted the shadows. "Grrrr..." the shadow screamed with anger. "How dare you insult us like this? We are not scared of anyone. Everyone is scared of us" the shadow screeched before lunging for Hera. In the packhouse inside Logan's room, he shook her hard to wake her up. She was mumbling something in her sleep and is shaking with fear. Logan became worried and so he decided to wake her up. Just when the shadow lunged for Hera, she woke up. She looked at Logan's worried face and hugged him tightly.

The thought made her blush hard. The forest began to thin. Lyra recognized specific trees now. That oak with the twisted trunk where she used to climb as a child. That stream where she'd caught her first fish. The boulder shaped like a sleeping bear. She was home. Really, truly home. Finally. Lyra emerged from the forest and stopped. The border guards stood at their posts, chatting quietly. When they saw her, their eyes went wide. One of them was James, she remembered his name. "Luna I mean, Lyra?" the younger guard stammered. His face had gone pale.

Arthur sighed for he was wondering himself of this question. Why he, Arthur Adamos, was waiting for the right time to claim his mate, Diana Marchand as if there will be something coming their way to separate them? Perhaps there was an obstacle. Her brother, Xavier, was the Beta of the Shadow Pack and Arthur doesn't want any trouble with him. Xavier can be scary if his sister was in threat. Arthur shook that question away before there was a commotion and a crowd was drawing up as he was approaching the incident. He saw the warriors that were on duty that night before he shifted to his human form before walking into the crime scene.

"Okay, guys. Let's just sleep." I already put down my things, my watched and rings on my bag, everyone of them acted sleeping. I rolled my eyes and turn off the light— But! What the heck! I immediately turned on the light when I saw a shadow! Who is that?! "H-hey, hey? Did you saw that?" I asked them pointing out the corner where I saw the male shadow! "Nah, you're imagining things! Go sleep and leave the light open."

She had asked for rejection multiple times. I finally slept during the early hours of the morning, and waked up by noon. I couldn't go on my usual morning jogs due to the daylight, so I chose to take a cool shower. Leaving my room, I went to get some breakfast in the kitchen, and there they stood, giggling and conversing. Their voices ceased as soon as I stepped into the kitchen, and I had to hide my wounded feelings. "Please pay no attention to me" I said as I made my way to get a coffee

The first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes wasn't the sunlight. It was my shadow. For one ridiculous second...I could have sworn it smiled at me. Not a huge smile. Just enough to make my stomach tighten. I blinked. Once…Twice. "...Yeah, I've officially lost it." The shadow lay perfectly still beneath the morning light pouring through the window, innocent as if it hadn't just tried to traumatize me before breakfast. I rubbed my eyes. "Maybe Grimhalden doesn't just awaken wolves," I muttered. "Maybe it also hands out free hallucinations."

Lucia's POV There was no moon in Blackwater Town. The sky was shrouded in a thick black fog, and the air reeked of rotting flesh. Desperate wails constantly pierced the suffocating silence. Yet here, I had found a peace I'd never known before. "Master Lucia! Over here! The pup's wolf soul is going wild!" A young nurse, her face smeared with blood, rushed into the tent. I immediately dropped the herbs I was grinding and grabbed my medical kit.

Luna looked up at the sky. The moons shone brightly. And far in the distance… She saw it. A black shape rising behind the clouds. The Eclipsed Moon. Her hands began to glow. Silver. Blue. And something darker. “I’m ready,” she said quietly. The shadow riders thundered toward them. And the battle for the Whispering Wastes was about to begin.
