Something about the shadows charging it down clearly unsettled the mysterious monster because it was off of its victim in an instant darting off into the forest without a trace. We peered at the edge of the hole above, and sure enough, there were around three to four wolves looking down to us while we were trapped there. The person above called my name, so at least one of them knows me. “Umm, will you help us,” I called back. Almost as soon as the words escaped my lips though, Tristan shook his head as if telling me not to speak. “I will pull you out, my lady,” the man above us said. I sighed in relief, but half-way through the sigh, my heart started to thump wildly as he spoke his next sentence. “Did you finish knocking over the Shadow wolf? Has he passed out already?”
