When I woke up again, there was nobody in my room, but at least my throat was starting to feel a lot better and I blacked out again. I remember opening my eyes at some point and it was dark out, but I was still so tired that I fell asleep again quickly. When I woke up again, it was morning and I felt stronger. My throat had completely healed, but when I tried to talk, my voice almost sounded damaged. What came out wasn’t normal—it was a thick, black liquid, oozing from my mouth in a way that made my skin crawl. The bitter taste from before intensified, burning my throat as the viscous substance splattered into the sink.

Support is what you offer someone when you’re not planning to save them. I wake up and the room is the same shade of white it was when I fell asleep. I don’t know how long I’ve been out. A sudden wave of dizziness hit me, I held myself, shut my eyes as I took out my brush and paste. After taking some paste, I fixed the brush into my mouth in order to brush my teeth but started feeling a great urge to puke, I opened my mouth and released all the content inside my mouth to the washing basin.

The next morning, I woke up feeling hot and tingly. My body ached and I couldn't get up from my bed. I touched a hand to my forehead and groaned. This was not a good time to get a fever. I panted. It was a bad move. Morning breath. I got up, crawled on all fours to the bathroom and managed to brush my teeth, sitting on the toilet. I crawled back the way I came, which unfortunately took longer since I used up my energy to brush, but the good thing was I didn't have bad breath anymore.

The leftover portion of the tongue was all the while hanging in his mouth. "I will have a horrible this evening!" "It's excessively nauseating! The scissors just cut his tongue down the middle. Grabbing the bottle of mouthwash, I tilted it back and swallowed half in one go, scrubbing at my teeth with the desperation of a man possessed. Still, the taste lingered. I gargled and rinsed until my throat burned, then emptied the rest of the bottle in frantic gulps. Even then I was not cleansed. I could still feel the phantom slime of her backwash coating my tongue. A violent shiver ran down my spine.
