- he added mercilessly. Aoi and Miyuki tried to reason with any of the vampires for a while, but one could see that if their leader disagreed, the rest of them followed him without a word of disagreement. Therefore, Miyuki and Aoi soon left the camp to return to Tokyo and think of another plan to stop the upcoming war, for each of them knew that if there will be a battle, no matter what the outcome of it, that one match would not end everything. One battle will result in another, and eventually the entire world will be plunged into a terrible war that will bring total chaos. ~~~~~~~~~

"God doesn't want me yet." "Perhaps you're just not welcome in heaven." I hovered my finger on the trigger, angling the gun a little higher to aim at the dummy's head. "Then the devil isn't ready for me," Lucas puffed impatiently and cocked his head to the side. "Are we going to chat all—" BANG! "Fuck!" Lucas screamed. "Fuck, Mari!" BANG!

The light from the large battery camping lantern showcasing the claw marks bleeding on the old burn scars on Liam's face. "Everyone talks about how fearsome a Summoner's demon is, but I haven't seen anything special yet." Liam pulled the blade up to inspect it, then carefully licked the blood from the edge. "Ah, but the taste, now that's different." I froze, both disgusted and worried. Liam had become seriously unhinged. I could feel Kastem struggling to stand and mentally commanded him to stay down. Liam was still standing over the demon and, even though he was focused on me, I didn't want him to kill Kastem.

Mine own packageth shall protecteth the people from the demon's attacketh. Sushi politely responded to me. His throaty voice reverberated as it came from within. "Thank you." I thanked Sushi and after that Sushi howled and I heard howls around. Their howl is creepy and I made my downy hairs raised to no end. Immediately I noticed the footsteps running as if they were chasing each other. I didn't dare to open the window. I don't want demons to see me and attack me. But I know that among those footsteps are necromancers fighting demons. I breathed a sigh of relief because the battle between the immortal and the demons would not be intense. Necromancer's aid is substantial in this fight.

On the morning of the fourth day, I began the "Pilgrimage." Before I left, I went to the manor's abandoned library. It was filled with moldy books and broken furniture, and the air smelled of decaying paper. But on a shelf in the deepest corner, I found a special diary. The cover was dark brown leather, with "Book of Laments" embroidered in gold thread. I opened the first page and saw elegant handwriting. "Here are recorded the stories of every soul in this manor, their pain, their despair, and their final wishes..."

Finally, she found the one she was looking for. Layla managed to grab the book and add it to her stack in her arms when her eyes caught sight of something. A book stood out among the rest. It was bound with dark brown leather and had brandished designs on the spine. The title read - Malleus Vampiro: A Treatise on Vampires. Placing her other books on the floor, Layla pulled the leather-bound book from its home amongst the others and opened it. As her eyes skimmed the pages, she caught a couple of words; SHADOW STALKERS, BLOODSUCKER, PHANTOMS.

What is there for me to live when I'm caged somewhere with no windows, and only a door exists? With a moment to lose this crazy plan of mine. I felt the sharp edges of the blade and saw the blood. It was a significant cut, enough to make me faint. I can feel my whole body cold while the bath water is warm. I laid my head back again and closed my eyes. As my eyes closed, I saw faces, family, friends, and Liam. His face was the last I pictured. "Liam..." I whispered his name as I started to lose my strength. "Liam...I'm...sorry. I'm sorry...my love..." Then as I slowly drift, I returned to my beautiful dream.

I've met a few witches in my life, all say weird prayer things. "I will need this once we're finished, keep it close no matter what." She says referring to the candle. I nod and hear Jordan groan in anxious pain. Emily begins to slowly chip away the gray wax, "weird things will start happening once this is opened.” I nod, waiting for this to finally be over and know what and who is in the damn box. As Emily continues to chip away at the wax, an unsettling feeling grows in the air around us. I know Wyatt can feel it by the smell of his sweat.

The orchestrator of this tragedy now faced the consequences of his malevolence, and I reveled in every bit of his suffering. As the flames consumed Draxler, I turned my attention to his warriors, each one meeting the same relentless fate. No warrior was spared as I set them ablaze, their cries echoing in the aftermath of the battle. The air was thick with the scent of burnt flesh, a grim reminder of the cost of their allegiance to the forces of darkness.
