POV: SOREN BLACKTHORN The silence of the Grand Library was something I usually enjoyed, but tonight it felt tense, like the whole place was waiting for something. I stood in the center of the room, surrounded by thousands of old books and tall shelves that reached the ceiling. As the Alpha Warlock of the Blackthorn Coven, my life was built on knowledge, discipline, and control. While wolves depended on their strength and vampires hid behind their pride, I understood the power that moved through the world. Magic was alive, and I spent every day making sure it stayed balanced.

“Ben, who lives in the dark house in the woods, the one you kept me from approaching that day I first saw you in the woods?” He blew out a hot breath, like he didn’t want to tell me, but I could tell that he would. “It’s complicated, Harlow, but essentially, the mage who lives there wants to destroy all of the good wolf packs. One at a time, she is infiltrating the good and using those who can be turned to drive us out of the forest or kill us, whichever she can accomplish first. Because of her, many of our kind have been lost to us, either leaving Whispering Hollow forever to try to protect their children, or not sending our kind back to us as is required by the council.”

People scream and scurry away in fear, they are right to fear me, I am too angry to show mercy right now. I remember reading a book when I was a girl, all about dragon lore and the special things they could do, so I lift my right paw and bite into my finger/toe to draw blood, then lower it to Drake. I let a few drops fall onto his chest and then one into his mouth, before sealing my wound and returning my attention to those around us. These tiny things are all my enemies they all are trying to take Drake away from me! “RAARR!! Grrrrr!!”

Lex's POV It was not lost upon me that I was being followed. I might have lost my wolf, but I was still a warrior in essence and being, and that too, an Alpha one. Sitting in the library with a mini bookshelf of my own on the table, I could tell that behind those thick load of books was a female dragon warrior and behind me were two wolves. In the racks across my table, flipping through random pages, were a few more. "Oh Joy ! How stupid do you think am I ?” I bitterly thought as I buried myself in medical journals. I was crazy scattered with books after all.

The moment I saw his fucking sissy face, I just want to fuck his brain out. Warlocks are psychos. They’re like Druids, but without the pointy ears and magic wands. "I don’t know he had a name." I said, "Why do you know his name?" "I know his name because I talk to him sometimes." my wolf said, "You should try it sometimes. People do it all the time. And if you do it, people might even think you’re a decent hUman being." Fuck. Every day, he would give me the same kind of fucking lectures.

she snapped in annoyance as she helped herself up. "Jinx! You cast a spell on him and made him forget all that happened up till this evening!" "Huh! But I did nothing but place my hand over his head," Lucia said with a confused look. "That's why I said you are powerful! According to the history of the world of vampires, wolves, and witches, only six people have been able to perform a jinx successfully." "Really? And who are those?" Lucia asked with excitement. "The dark lord himself- Lucifer, the current heads of the wolves, witches and vampires, queen Jezebel and your father!"

This had to be the longest I'd spoken since I became human and it was funny that the person who broke my silence was Motty, a true mouther in the making, albeit a smart one although what he was currently saying wasn't an answer to my questions. When Ruckus arrived at the chamber of his father, the alpha king, what his eyes saw had to be the opposite of what was at his own chamber. There were more guards loitering around the whole place. For a moment, he stopped, gazing at what was before him. What did the alpha king have in mind? At least, for someone like him, the alpha king needed that number of people to be able to pull him down. There was no doubt that Ruckus was one of the strongest werewolves to grace the pack. Maybe his father was impatient enough and was now willing to drag him into the ditch.
