I noted. "He did," Marcus confirmed. "He plays the ruthless mercenary, but he takes care of the men who bleed for him. It's a rare trait in a Warlord." Because she's not a Warlord, I thought, the phantom thread in my chest pulling taut. She's an Omega who knows what it feels like to be abandoned by her pack. "General Vesh!" I called out, my voice carrying over the clash of shields. The Warlord paused, turning the terrifying visor toward me. The entire yard fell silent. Two hundred Blackwood wolves and five hundred Legionnaires snapped to attention, waiting to see if their Alpha and their General were about to tear each other apart.

My heart locked up. “Go!” I roared to the warriors at my side. They fanned out instantly, joining the fight. I leapt the last few steps, landing between Kate and the wolf lunging for her. My claws ripped across its throat before it even realized I was there. It crumpled at my feet. “Inside! Secure the Luna!” I barked at Celia, who was already pulling Kate behind the line of warriors forming a wall. But Kate’s eyes burned at me, furious. “I’m not running!”

She felt the heat of his fur beneath her palms and the surge of kinetic power as Shan sprang forward, claws digging into the hard sand, teeth bared, fangs glinting in the moonlight. Maximus’s dark eyes widened as he saw her rise atop Shan, the Chakram spinning at her side, Vajra Spear crackling in her hands, Gáe Bulg ready to strike. His confidence wavered for the first time in centuries. The goddess and her tiger… they are unstoppable.

He sneered as he looked at the warriors and me. "She would go to jail and nothing would happen. We would go to the war with other warriors of the werewolf kingdom and come back victorious. And besides, I have my brother Ken, who is also a warrior and a leader just like her as you said, and I believe he is going to win with his hundreds of thousands of warriors and not just a handful of a few hundred warriors like the Reapers." He sneered mockingly.

a churlish Warrior named Campbell asks. The other Warriors glance sideways at him, the looks on their faces matching mine. We do not question a direct order from our alpha. Beast immediately comes to the forefront but Marinah responds before I do. She's dressed in her Warrior gear that allows for a quick shift to Beast. With her heightened human strength, she doesn't bother. She picks Campbell up by his throat, tossing him over the hellhounds and into the cage.

I said letting my emotions bleed into my statement. “I did, but just because I am your mate doesn’t make me lesser than you. I am to be your equal Cain. Not your precious little ornament that you only take down for special occasions. I am still a warrior. And a damn good one. Either you see that or you don't. But you do not get to turn me into your mindless drone with sex.” She cried out and using my wolf speed I moved around behind her and drew out my claws as I drew my claw downwards cutting the ropes off around her arms. I did the same to the ropes binding her legs to the legs of the chair.

TAWNY 4 MONTHS EARLIER For weeks we trained the Cambiador warriors. Taking a page out of MacTire’s book and splitting the warriors into five groups. Alpha, Beta, and Delta platoons. The other two platoons were named Gamma divisions. They were the warriors that would stay behind and protect the Kingdom’s capital. Then there were the new recruits, the younger werecats - the Zeta team. It was their job to act as enforcers in emergencies until they came of age or moved up to the gamma divisions.

Her curiosity got the best of her and she decided to pose him the question. "Hey how are you able to keep up with me plus what's your primal form Master?" Hahahaha! Ivor let out a silly laugh and immediately switched to his primal form. "Do you want to make a quick warm-up?" Ivor was in actuality a Cat like beast, to be precise he was a Bob cat. Sara still didn't know how he could conceil such a peculiar aura. "Why do you hide so much from your student? She asked him, keeping her focus on the road ahead.
