Warrior Cats Apprentice Ceremony Novels & Stories

The Lupaxis courtyard looked more like a battlefield than a practice field, scarred earth, silver dust, and claw marks etched into stone. Master Garran Holt stood on a raised platform, massive arms crossed over his chest, his scarred face glinting in the torchlight. “Fangs up! Instincts sharp!” he barked, his voice booming. “The Ceremony doesn’t care about grace, it cares about dominance!” Wolves and beastkin sparred, shifting mid-leap, their bodies moving with terrifying fluidity. Kade towered above the rest, calm yet wild-eyed, his claws glowing faintly under the moon.

Because maybe I was. The ceremony began with Alpha Magnus ascending the platform as his presence commanded immediate silence from the assembled pack. i could feel sweat trickling down my back despite the cool temperature. "Moonstone pack," Magnus began "we are gathered here today to witness the Coming of age ceremony, a sacred tradition passed down through generations. Eight young wolves stand before you, ready to shift for the first time and take their place as adults in the pack." Cheers erupted from the crowd. I lowered my eyes focusing on my breathing. In and out. Just breathe.

My council sat around me, but their eyes were all fixed on me. "We have three days. Three days to end this and return in time for the Hunt Ceremony. Do you think he anticipated when he gave us this task?” Casper sat to my right, leaning forward "The Ceremonial Hunt?" "A coming-of-age rite for the young warriors of the Moonskin," Adolph answered before I could. Brash as always, but the man thought ten steps ahead of any of us. "It’s not just a festival. It’s a clan rite. One that also helps elevate a wolf’s rank."

The scrolls ended at my birth, our future was ours to write. Grandfather stood and faced me. He placed the Tiara on my head and went down on one knee. The alpha had bowed to another, and in that instant power was transferred. Everyone followed suit and soon all were kneeling to me, even Dalya. “Please rise, my fellow werecats.” I began this time with no coaching, instead I spoke from my heart. I hope I can live up to the trust you have placed in me. I will do my best to serve you and help our people thrive.”

"We are gathered here to witness the induction of a new warrior. Wayne Morris, who has shown courage, honor, and loyalty, will receive the title of warrior." I straightened my gaze, placing my right hand on his head. Wayne bowed his head in respect. "Wayne," I said in a calm yet authoritative voice, "I hereby appoint you as a warrior of the Celestial Dawn pack. Do you swear to protect the weak, defend justice, and uphold the dignity of the warrior?" "I do," Wayne replied in a steady voice. Wayne turned his face upwards with his eyes closed. The nail of my thumb slowly scratched a long line on Wayne's forehead. The blood flowing down his face showed the courage of a warrior's determination.

It was just something his brother did, and he and Lilypaw would often get the better of him for it. "I believe now is a good time more than ever for us to hold the warrior ceremony," Petalstar meowed when she emerged from her den and stood at the top of the Highledge. Flamepaw watched her expectantly as he noticed how eager Hazelpaw and Kestrelpaw looked. "I, Petalstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn. Hazelpaw, Kestrelpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your lives

“Every day.” “Just yourself or others?” “Both.” “You lead training for...?” “The top warriors.” The rhythm between us was rapid-fire, like a verbal ping-pong match. I was curious, and something about all this didn’t sit quite right yet. “Who else trains during the other sessions?” “Most of the pack—warriors, teens, kids, women, omegas. Everyone’s divided into groups.” I hummed thoughtfully, piecing it all together in my mind. “But you don’t train those groups?”

They still had more to compete for to have the official apprentice title. “Stop lollygagging and make a move!” a voice came suddenly. In front of Zephyr was a man dressed in black robes, coldly scanning the new apprentices. He was in charge of the new arrivals. He was in his thirties and was already an Agile of level three. He was powerful. However, after Murray’s explanation, Zephyr knew that only Agiles of level five or legendary warriors were allowed to be initiates. After all, initiates were highly coveted positions in the academy. This man was not, he was a mere apprentice.

Outside the office, Cole watched with an amused twinkle in his eye. Helma followed the ritual, bowing to the grandmaster, then to Master Jones, and presented the tea. "You know, a proper apprentice ceremony would have you kowtowing three times and your master's wife must be present, but hey, we're not that traditional. This is pretty cool as it is." William had found himself the perfect apprentice, and his eyes could not hide his delight. He was really getting into this Master Jones role.

Ahh this ceremony I groaned Finally the day of ceremony arrived. It was held at our new pack house which was completed just yesterday. All the members of the Northern moon pack shifted here yesterday itself. All of the Southern Moon pack was present. Whole event was so tiring. All of us took the oath, then we were given the title of Alpha and Luna, we marked each other, ( Aroha gave me a bite too. It just left teeth marks on my neck) Beta, Gamma and others took their oaths too. We went for the run as well.
