Even if she wasn't, she made sure not to mingle with everyone else but she was respected by everyone for her work ethic. “But I'm certain she'll show in today's ceremony, after all, it's compulsory.” “Will you attend?” I asked quietly. “No, I have to look over the girls especially the unmated girls. It's dangerous for them to roam around when the ceremony starts.” I looked at the wall clock. 6:30pm. It wasn't intense untill 9pm when the influence of the moon would start showing. The top warriors of Shadow Ace had to be present during the ceremony regardless of gender.

Baylor asked. “That is what you are concerned about?” I stared at him in disbelief, “I am telling you that we are going to get a chance of a lifetime and that is your question?” “I only trust you as far as I can throw you,” his bass voice boomed. “It is a ceremony for renowned wolf warriors, it requires the alpha and his luna to perform a solemn fast and march outside the pack, through several battlefields in honor of the warriors’ sacrifice so that the Moon Goddess can receive their souls with full honor,” Lady Cecile said.

--- The reinstatement ceremony was held under the full moon. The entire pack gathered in the central clearing, torches lighting the night. The flames cast dancing shadows on the faces of the crowd, illuminating expressions of curiosity, hope, and cautious acceptance. Elders stood at the front, their weathered faces solemn. Warriors lined the edges, their presence a silent guard. Children peeked from behind their parents' legs, too young to understand but sensing the importance of the moment. Damon stood at the center, his voice carrying across the silence as he spoke the ancient words. He wore his formal robes, the ones reserved for ceremonies, and he looked every inch the Alpha—strong, dign

Another round of applause follows, and we all stand up as Declan mounts the podium. Once again, we're given a few seconds to settle down before Declan begins. Done, all eyes fall on him. I gather my thoughts and compose myself. Both mentally and physically. “My Beta has declared this ceremony open,” his baritone carries his alpha aura, seeping it into the microphone and spreading it through the sound waves across the atmosphere. “I am glad to welcome our finest into our warrior force through this sacred ceremony. They have shown the essence and embodiment of courage, resilience, and selflessness. They have answered the call to serve, to defend, and to protect the Moonclaw Pack always. They h

I uttered without hesitation. Even first year trainees were considered as warrior as soon as they finished 30 hours of training with same class and at least a day with senior and all of us already reached that level, but only the chosen ones from the freshman level were allowed to join the patrol, unlike seniors like Helena who were almost considered as full pledge warriors already. He sat up straight, studying me closely with a frown before shaking his head. “You’re not ready. Not yet. You don’t even have your wolf yet.”

I had every reason to think that my sister was going to repeat the process given that it was she who took after Dad more. Breakout ceremonies weren't complicated. They were usually time-exhausting except on the night of a yellow moon. In a typical ceremony, after the musical rites were performed, the youngling who at that point must have had the aggressive growls of their wolf pounding against their chest faced a provocative 'opponent' in a wrestle. The opponent's job was to provoke the youngling's wolf out through anger by feigning a very aggressive attack. The theatrical attack had to be repeated if it failed.

"Should I leave again or is someone going to tell me what's going on?" "Lore Master Apprentice Famallumi decided upon himself to leave the Land Under to add your story to the lore of the elves. You see, for an apprentice to reach the level of master, he must bring a new piece of lore to be added to the archives, his Progression Tale." Tryna's voice held an artificial smile, her stance relaying the anger she tried to contain. "He assumed your story would be the perfect one for his assignment."

Zoe asked as we joined the other ranked wolves on the stage. ‘We’ll get through it.” Henrik assured her. “Like Mom said, we’re where the Goddess always meant us to be.” I agreed as Tie and Kat took center stage, and the oath ceremony began. The ceremony was a bit of a blur, in all honesty. The others cut their wrists in order of rank, letting some drops fall into the cup we had to drink from. We took a small sip and swore to serve and protect Nebrodi as Betas. Once we got out the last words, it was like a light switch for a high-voltage light went off.

"Only an accomplished priestess can perform the Summoning. It would be impossible for any apprentice." "He is right, you know." Allorah turned quickly to the new speaker. It was Dannonae, looking frailer and wearier than ever. Still, she wore a large smile and her voice was filled with warmth. She walked forward and pulled her into a quick hug, whispering in her ear, "You did it, Allorah. I'm so proud of you!" Releasing her, she faced Seth. "And you are the Warrior." To Allorah's astonishment, she began lowering herself stiffly to her knees. "It is an honor to meet you."

But she stood in the pack's burial meadow through all three ceremonies, and she did not look away from any of them, because she had asked these wolves to hold a line and they had held it and she owed them her full presence. Damian stood on her right. Asher, to the quiet surprise of the assembled pack, stood on her left. No one commented on it. Which meant everything. The first ceremony was for a young male named Cole, nineteen years old, newly transitioned, who had been in his third week of warrior training when the call came. He had, Eric had told them during the interrogation, been someone Eric was planning to recruit for Vance's intelligence network. Cole had refused that part had not mad
