Easy to form into warriors with little time. One of those imbeciles pokes his hand in his nose, taking it into his mouth right after. Real warrior material, these lots. I clear my throat, loud enough to get their attention. “Alright, listen up, mutts!” I bark as I walk in front of them with my arms folded behind my back. “You think you’re wolves? You’re not. You’re puppies who still piss on the floor and cry for mama."

Warriors poured out of the dungeon like a tidal wave and the yard erupted into full-scale war. Rogues and pack warriors clashed violently, humans shifted into wolves, howls and growls tore through the evening air, and blood splattered across the once dry earth. I forced myself not to look when one of our warriors pinned a rogue to the ground and ripped out his throat with brutal efficiency. And that was only the beginning. Our warriors moved like predators. Agile, precise and deadly, just like their Alpha. You could see their training, their discipline and their purpose. Like they were fighting for something. Or rather, someone.

Godfrey shouted. “You’re looking at him mate,” said a large man with a British accent, who had just shifted back to his human form. “You’re housing a criminal, guilty of mass war crimes. Turn him over to the council and we’ll leave your pack in peace. You would be absolute fools to fight us, but if you do so you’ll leave us no choice,” Isaac said. “You’re the council? I seriously doubt the council is going to kill she-wolves and pups,” he said, clearly in defiance.

I stated. "You will help me? Can you even fight?" She scrunched her nose, eyeing me up and down. "Ouch" Jia whispered. She knows my mate is insulting me, but I can't do anything about it.
