I reached my hand out to run my fingers over the wolf’s canines. “The phoenix symbolises rebirth, don’t ask why, I just always had this image in my head so I got it. The wolf- well I guess it’s self-explanatory, I got this one when I became a warrior.” He explained and I admired his openness. “I’m Sophia Hastings.” I stuck my hand out to him with a smile. “Marcel Miller, warrior of the Dark forest pack.” He boasted, his chest puffing up with pride. “Are you here for the warrior games?” I asked, feeling excited.

Damon was already giving me more than I expected. We passed another training ground where warriors were sparring hard. One huge male stopped and stared straight at me. "You know the rules. Contact means consequences. For both of you." I stare at the message, my jaw clenching. Marcus has been my mentor since everything changed.
