Damien had spent the last three hours in peace talks between the Snowfall Shifters and the Black Forest Wolf pack. The names these guys give themselves He'd had his gun loaded with silver, ready for things to go pear-shaped, but fortunately nothing had happened. We roll together in our wolf forms, the underbrush of the forest softening the tumble. For a moment, I’m worried my wolf might lash out, but he pins us beneath his massive frame before she can react. His red eyes gleam, glowing with raw power, and his fur is so dark it seems to swallow the light. He’s breathtaking, and I hate how my wolf practically melts under his gaze.

He hears Sebastian's wolf shake his fur out, and a moment later, he steps out from behind the tree. Ares's breath is taken from him the moment his eyes land on his mate in his true form. He's absolutely stunning! He's a light gray wolf. The fur along his sides, belly, and legs are white, and his back is gray. His back is the darkest along his spine and becomes lighter as it spreads outwards. His ears are lined with light gray, getting darker at the base. His fur is long and thick, it looks so soft. His black nose and black whiskers stand out against his white face, and his golden eyes shine bright as he approaches.

I glance back and see several warriors joining us, their eyes alert, protective. “Alpha said a few extra warriors should escort us back. Just in case.” Fury gives me a small grin and shrugs off his jacket. “Now be reasonable and climb on—” He stops when I don’t move. I just stand there watching him as he shifts. Bones crack, limbs stretch, and within seconds, Fury’s wolf stands before me—thick, dark grey fur, almost black, with kind, familiar eyes. He wiggles his tail slightly, motioning me forward.

From the shadows, the chosen opponent stepped forward. It was not a stranger. It was Elder Marros, the Wolf of Ashen Fang, scarred by decades of battle, his fur streaked with gray though his body remained unbroken. He was not merely an Elder of counsel but one of the last who had bled in the wars of the old tribes, and when he shifted into his wolf form, massive and thick with power, the Pack drew in a collective breath of awe and terror. His muzzle bore the mark of fire, his left eye clouded but unblinking, and his growl vibrated through the soil beneath Fenric’s feet.

He yells out overr the sound of Ashs screams. Slow motion was in full swing as we all witnessed the shift right before our very eyes. First, light gray fur starting sprouting all over her body from herarms to her legs, well pretty much everywhere. Nate and Chris tried their best to keep Toni and Kim as calm as possible while I tend to Ash and Paul watches on just incase he is needed. After what seems like hours, but really has only been minutes, Ash is fully transformed into a beautiful light gray, almost white wolf with a black marking on her forhead that is the shape of a half moon.

I breathed in deeply, closing my eyes and relying on my nose to tell them apart. Ash was the first one I recognized. I smiled, pointing in the scent’s direction. “That’s Ash.” I opened my eyes to look. He was the biggest of them all. He had deep grey fur with a deeper shade of grey line cutting from under his chin to over his shoulder. He looked so beautiful. I closed my eyes and tried to pick out someone else. “That’s my dad.” I opened my eyes to see. He had black fur, with a patch of bronze on his belly and hind legs. It was weird seeing my dad like that—not human.

Every eye locked in the same direction. At him. At the creature standing in the middle of the sand, blood dripping from his jaw, his fur white as fresh snow. The wolf. The same one from my dreams. Asher. He towers over the others. His body is massive, pure muscle and rage, covered in fur so bright it seems to glow against the scorched earth. His claws are like knives, soaked in red. His fangs, goddess, his fangs gleam under the broken sunlight. His icy blue eyes scan the chaos, wild and sharp and deadly.

My muscles bulged, and my bones cracked as they repositioned themselves. My fingers elongated into claws, and my skin itched as fur sprouted all over my body. Ash's power surged through me. The transformation neared completion, and he was taking over. "You have to calm down," I tried to reason with him, but it fell on deaf ears. Ash was too powerful, too consumed by anger. Even Orion couldn't stand him. I was now an Ash wolf, my fur a deep, dark gray, with claws as sharp as knives. "Relax, Ash," I said, my voice strained. "We can't let our anger control us."

That's all. But even as he said it, Ash found himself moving with heightened awareness—not in the anxious way that his brothers sometimes carried vigilance, but with the easy readiness of a warrior who understood that danger could appear at any moment. His white wolf fur caught the moonlight as he moved along the boundary of Shadow Claw territory, his massive form a ghost against the darkness.
