I tell him with all seriousness. I change and get outside to start working on the build and find that many of the warriors are there waiting for me and ready to help. I stand there confused, “What is going on?” I look at Austin. “Food is a great motivator, Luna.” One of the warriors said. “Alpha keeps talking about the pork shoulder sandwich you gave him and said you have skills.” He added. “What’s your name warrior?” I ask “David, Luna.” He replied, "The other four with us are Michael, Leo, Derick and Thomas.” He added.

Scared of what he would do next. That day, the Warriors of the pack did not feel like they had won the war. Rather, it felt like the war had taken away their Alpha.

The wolves had done the unthinkable! They hadn’t merely defeated the creatures from hell; they had shattered the myth of Zen's invincibility. Their victory was an open challenge to Zen's authority. The wolves’ cheers echoed through the air, buzzing with triumph. Sean dragged himself through the warriors, patting shoulders, offering brief nods of approval. It was a gesture born of habit. In that moment, he forgot he was no longer the beta. The warriors too gravitated toward him, seeking his acknowledgment as they always had after a victorious battle. He may not hold the badge, but he was still their commander.

A subtle knock was on my door and when the door opened, Dante appeared with his new beta, of which he was told to wait outside. "Good morning your majesty," he greeted me as I nodded. "So Dante, you said you wanted to see me," I asked, going straight to the point. "Yes sir, there was another attack and they left a letter,"'he replied, handing me a rough sheet with blood stained. "They want to break their allegiance sir, which means another war will break out," Dante informed. I can't have another war, I haven't even settled the Kai issue, it makes trusting Kai with my kingdom really hard.

Warriors poured out of the dungeon like a tidal wave and the yard erupted into full-scale war. Rogues and pack warriors clashed violently, humans shifted into wolves, howls and growls tore through the evening air, and blood splattered across the once dry earth. I forced myself not to look when one of our warriors pinned a rogue to the ground and ripped out his throat with brutal efficiency. And that was only the beginning. Our warriors moved like predators. Agile, precise and deadly, just like their Alpha. You could see their training, their discipline and their purpose. Like they were fighting for something. Or rather, someone.

Hearing Gavin’s footsteps and the bathroom door fling open I didn't bother to look up when the shower door opened. “What the fuck is going on, woman?!” He demanded sternly and I glanced up at him. The look in my eyes made his temperament grow soft and turn to concern. “I'm a failure and a shitty warrior,” I muttered sullenly, causing him to kneel down to my level. Reaching out he cupped my face and turned me to look at him. “Athena Blackstone, you're the best female warrior that I have ever known, but there's always someone better, and that doesn't make you any less remarkable,” he said compassionately.

Turns out my wolf is attached to him because he is my mate, a secret we had to keep between us because it was forbidden, and his father would have my head. After many years have passed, we survived a lot together, vampires and werewolves were at war with each other and the humans joined it, the lab I once worked for rebranded themselves as W. I. K. D, killing us and calling it the cleansing. It was a massacre that day, but it was also the perfect diversion to allow us to escape, yes us... I told them about my plan, and they knew... The whole time, "I don't know if it's a good idea," Al complained, "I mean the human world is at war right now, this is our haven right now,"

Brother Isaac looked thoughtful, one thing that was common with the brothers was they never lost their temper or seemed too surprised by anything. “Something is happening, something serious do you have any idea what this means?” Elaina continued collapsing on the ground again. “You know the warnings as well as I Elaina.” Brother Isaac responded. “We knew that something like this would eventually happen. It seems the dark warriors are making it clear that they mean to be rid of all of us.” “That doesn’t answer anything.” Elaina grumbled shaking. Brother Isaac made his way towards a shelf full of old books. Looking carefully he pulled one down, its cover worn with age. Flipping quietly thro

he exclaimed proudly. There was a brief silence after that. His Papa Herman appeared to be deep in thought. He approached him after a minute with an envelope containing a letter. As his father handed it to him, he frowned. "It came from your Uncle Lando," his father stated sternly. His Uncle Lando was his mother's eldest brother. He was one of the captains of the WW Force, the organization of soldiers hunting werewolves. He looked confused at his Mama Geraldine because he couldn't understand why his Uncle had written to him, especially since he wasn't close to him.
