“I am responsible for her and her safety. So let us pass. Will you?” The warriors exchanged uneasy glances. Another said. “With respect, Mr. Grayson, our orders—” Grayson sighed, clearly annoyed now. He released my hand only to reach into his coat. He pulled out a folded blue parchment. I had no idea what it was. But I noticed how the faces of the warriors drained of color when he pulled it out. “Have you all forgotten who I am?” he asked quietly. They all bowed their heads to him, almost immediately.

Alpha Gray POV The afternoon sun bathed the pack buildings in its last light as Alpha Gray walked towards his Pickup, waiting alone in the car park. He had spent another long day sorting out his affairs with Alpha Miles in the office. They needed to lend more soldiers from the Moonfall pack to help fend off the growing number of Rogue attacks on the White Creek territory. Alpha Gray was so stretched at the moment he had to ask his younger brother Ryan and his friends to help out patrolling the borders. He didn't like involving the family in work businesses, but the current difficult circumstances had given him little choice.

They moved skillfully, and quickly, opting to fight opponents that had still been in human form. Ambrosia fought just the same but had Tiana and Zephyr as back up. This allowed her to fight wolves as well. Zephyr's white wings were beautiful and almost blinding. I wished I could have had more time to take in their enthralling, majestic beauty. One look at them had you in a daze. I reluctantly tore my eyes away from them to look at Tiana's wings. It resembled a butterfly's with multicolors, the most prominent being bronze and gold.

Alpha Marcus Greythorn arrived with fifty wolves. All warriors. All armed. All arranged in formation outside the packhouse gates. "That's a declaration of war," Jetstar said, watching from the window. "He brought enough fighters to take the packhouse by force." Jasmina's heart pounded. "Are we under attack?" "Not yet. But he's making a point. Showing you what happens if he decides you're unfit." "Get our warriors ready. Quietly. I don't want to escalate unless he forces it."

Haunted. “I believe he’s still out there. Watching.” Don leaned forward, voice lowering. Before Jo could speak, one the warriors opened the door to the carriage, bowing. “We’ve arrived, Alpha.” Jo stepped down. The Wind Warrior Pack territory looked like something out of an old legend—stone towers spiraled into the sky, a beautiful crest on top of the highest towers. A woman approached, wrapped in deep blue robes and bearing the crest of the Wind Library—a swirling spiral with a single feather in the center.

I Continue, and he smiles “Yes, I do. Welcome all.” He says and smiles “The Warriors are Jacob, Jason, Andre, Christopher, Thomas, Michael, Jack, Oliver, Owen, and Eli,” I say and I feel the surprise from my warrior. They didn’t expect me to know their names. “I have cleared a wing on the second floor to the right. It is completely free, and your warriors have my permission to keep everyone away from there.” Carter tells us. “Thank you, Alpha,” I say and smile.

So I raced up his wing and drew the sword, slicing, cutting and shoving anyone that dared to attack from behind. Some managed to dig their claws into me. Some managed to knock me to my knees. But every single one of the Shifters that fought to climb up the dragon was cut down. I swing and slice and cut into each one of them no matter how much I bled or the pain I felt. I knew that I had to get them off of Dorian because they would manage to gravely hurt him if they latched onto his back.

He looked so marvelous in his red long-sleeved t-shirt and black trousers. Priestess Camille flashed me her million dollar smile that felt like the angels making my day. It was positively empowering but disheartening because he did not say hi in any shape or form. I wasn’t going to be the 1st doing it so I picked my card and left.

He tried to ignore them as he held the blade in front of him, its steel a bright blue that lit the room in an eerie glow outshining the emergency lights in the hallway. The gargoyle turned, its wings close to its leathery body as it reached his claws out trying to grab Rhychard. The Warrior jumped backward and out of reach. The beast lunged, but its thighs caught the desk, bringing it to a quick halt. As it fell forward, it swiped at Rhychard's coat. The Warrior jerked back, slashing across with his sword. The blade sliced into the gargoyle's shoulder, continuing deep into its chest. The creature screamed before bursting into a cloud of ash. :Kree!:

I assured her as I stroked her fur. Zeus howled mournfully as if he understood my words. What a weird dog. “Zeus cut the crap,” Clay grumbled as he came around the corner. He’d changed his clothes again. Still in a sinfully tight muscle shirt and sweats just now, the shirt was white, and the sweatpants were black. In his beefy hands, the same hands before all hell broke loose were about to be on my body, were some clothes that weren’t mine. I guess that means my clothes weren’t ready.
