*Jaedon’s POV* “You’re saying war?” My best friend and Beta, Peter Normandy raised his eyebrows at me. Peter and I had met when we were children. Our pack, Snow Creek, had taken over his own pack Everforest. Now, the remaining joined us and pledged their loyalty. It hasn’t been a terrible thing for them though. We didn’t have to kill anyone. Their Alpha had been sick and the sickness was spreading. He asked us to take over the healthy of their pack so it wouldn’t have to die off. Our Alpha at the time obliged.

She smiled kindly. -I fear the war is coming. -Luvioc looked down at the floor, his eyes fixed on the bedroom tiles. Lysa saw the same concern in the eyes of all the puppies there. They had a growing sense of fear. This was their first war. Especially for Luvioc, it was an overwhelming challenge, because it would be the first battle he would have to fight as a warrior, as a true wolf. His uncle had trained him well, but he felt that he would never be fully prepared for such an event.

But she was immediately silenced by what she saw. It appeared that they had entered a sort of temple. On the altar just in front, there was a statue of a large, majestic tiger. Its body was made out of polished, white marble, while it had sapphires for its eyes. Jade was certain that it was the same tiger in the painting, or at least, a representation of it. “Is that…” Jade’s voice trailed off. Jin walked towards the statue and placed a hand on its hind leg. “Bai Hu. The Lord of Fuxi, protector of the West.”

I could pass as a stalker right now! In a few seconds, I opened my MacBook and was scrolling through the internet trying to find something, anything that proves Kian is the founder of the company. As we descended into the subterranean colosseum, the noise became overwhelming. Two thousand warriors filled the stone tiers of the cavern. These were the Shadow Warriors—the battle-scarred outcasts of the Dead Woods. They were alphas, betas, and omegas who had been rejected by their birth packs, criminals who had survived the brutal winter wilderness, and veterans of forgotten border wars. They didn't wear uniforms; they wore heavy furs, iron chains, and leather straps over bodies covered in jagged claw scars. They were savage, and radiated a volatile pressure.

We face each other and I nod my head towards him. "Shane found me in a bar. Said I looked dead. That was until some fucker was messing with me. He wanted to show off in front of his new little girlfriend, I hadn't gotten too far in fuckin' him up when Shane pulled me back. Told me about the Warriors. Thought it sounded like something that could save my life from either getting killed or being arrested. Austin made the same comment about how I looked dead because of my eyes, Ghost was created."

Lardon Vexley POV "You males are giving me way too much credit," Orion Greyclaw says, shaking his head at the crowd of alphas while I stand near his shoulder. "I did not build the Wraithfang Recon Unit. I just stood there and watched a small part of the magic happen." Every warrior in the circle stops breathing. A bunch of loud questions hit the air like barking wolves. Orion Greyclaw just waves his hand to cut them off. "Sorry, males, but my mouth is locked about the creator."

Pepper is dragon and incredibly special. I'm lying in the grass and daydreaming because that's what lazy father dragons do for about three minutes each day. I'm imagining the portrait of Jewel and Pepper that now hangs in our great room. Mikael drew it. He barely survived Drakon's attack and his injuries keep him from a fulltime job. He has become our resident artist because he's surprisingly good. He lost most of the fingers on his left hand, but it doesn't keep him from producing amazing portraits that are now sprinkled around our castles.
