AVA As I stepped into the safehouse, a sense of relief washed over me. The warm glow of the lanterns and the gentle hum of conversation enveloped me, making me feel like I'd finally found a haven. Derek's warriors welcomed me with open arms, their faces etched with determination and solidarity. Through our mind-link, I felt Derek's presence, a steady reassurance that calmed my racing thoughts. His words echoed in my mind, "We're getting closer, Ava. We're going to break Leah's hold on Cane and restore balance to the pack."

I tried to dismiss the thought, but it persisted, twisting around my heart like a frigid knot. Ava turned the first page of her book and pointed at a sketched figure. "This is me!" she proudly exclaimed, tapping her sketch of a circular creature with a large head. "See? "I'm wearing a red dress and my hair is blue!" Alex leaned closer, his gaze filled with awe. "Wow, that is wonderful! I like the red outfit, and the blue hair is good for a celebrity like you!" Ava giggled, delighted by the compliment. I could tell how much it meant to her, as her eyes shone like small stars. It made me question if I'd ever be able to give her that type of compliment—or make her grin like that again.

“Well then. I just hope that you are prepared, Arius.” Taunting him, yet he likes it to be that way as he never had any fear in his life after dealing with HIM and becoming the death reaper in his book and world. They both finally step out and into the light, as a book is drawn, welcomes them in return with the title and the truth that reads. “Shinzo Dimension.” With the world and not just an ordinary book, but the very beginning and the original one. The pages flip as the words echo.

Dear Reader Thank you for reading the first chapter of the book called, Gamble With My Heart. Gamble With My Heart was originally written as an Interactive Story Game. I am in the process of adapting it into a novel form. The original version contains a great deal of dialogue to fit the platform for which it was intended. Hello everyone! This was the first book I wrote under GN and it was an overwhelming experience to get an NEC from them. At first I was hesitant to publish my book here because of so many insecurities but when I saw that I had a view already, I continued to do so. Thank you Editor Ava and Editor Lisa for giving me the chance to publish my story here. To the viewers of my book, thank you so much for giving this story a chance. Hope I could publish again a story under GN.

He was reluctant to follow her orders at first, but retreated to the safety of the dome. Heading back to the fight, Penny heard a low growl behind her. Angry and prepped to give another scolding, she turned around. The scolding didn’t materialize when she saw the werewolf who came out. It towered over her, runes glowing on its chest, up and down its arms and legs. A second followed. They walked past Penny, two enormous beings. Now the fight was even. In the middle of the fight, Penny felt a sensation she hadn’t in a long time. A familiar stirring. Ava was alive; she had the book, and she had made good on her promise.

After I got it I pulled out a chair and sat in front of the table near it by the window. "Deceptive," I read in the written title of the book, I opened it in turn and what popped up to me was a picture of a large creature that was half human and wolf, its body full of feathers. “He has no death, to this day he is still alive, trying to save the woman he first loved and wants to be with for life,” I read here. There was some spark that flowed through my being. I wasted no more time and I opened the book, but my torn eyebrows met its pages, even if I looked over and over I could not read anything, until I got to the back of the book and there was I noticed a very small letter.
