His Straight Pet
For a moment, I really do.
Then the pain hits again — sharper, deeper. The room starts to tilt. “Jude,” I gasp, “it’s worse. The curse… it’s spreading.”
His face hardens. Shadows explode, shattering a vial behind us. “I’ll fix it,” he says. His voice is steel, but his eyes are wet. “I’ll kill her for this.”
The vial in my hand glows red-hot. The curse surges, dragging a vision into my mind — Selene, laughing, weaving runes around a crown. Jude’s shadows breaking. Our bond snapping.
