I took the book from there and opened it. I was so surprised and I checked all the books. There were so many designs which were amazing. When she came out I asked her about the book and she told me that they were her waste designs. I was laughing at her that each and every design was so amazing and she told me that was her wasted design she told me if I liked this book so I can take that book. Then we went to the car and went to the office. When we reached to the office no one was there.

It was a simple registration with no wedding. She said she finally understood that stolen happiness had to eventually be paid for. She said her biggest regret was losing me as a friend. She apologized. I stared at the email, speechless for a long time. Finally, I only replied with one sentence. Zoe: [Take care.] Then, I deleted the email. Some mistakes were unforgivable. Some people were lost forever once you lost them.

My steps slowed as I took in the shelves that stretched higher than I could see, a maze of knowledge stacked and bound in leather. I thought Rowe was going to teach me but…well, it was just another disappointment for me to brood over. Maybe a part of me still believed him, because standing here, staring at the endless shelves, I felt small again….and pathetic.

She tossed the rubbish into a basket at her feet and flipped through a couple of open books curiously. “The Holy Inquisition,” she read the title of one of the works. “Heavy,” she took the book and put it down. - So, what do we have? "The Powers of the Elemental Witches," an entertaining read. She opened it about half way through and ran her eyes over the yellowish sheets. “Pffff, what idiot wrote that? If you read, so the Great Flood is our work.

One more opportunity to jack up the price in a market this desperate. I donated most of the furniture to Goodwill. The lumpy futon, the particle-board bookshelves that wobbled if you looked at them wrong, the mismatched kitchen supplies I’ll never need again. None of it was worth the haulage f*e. But the books stayed. I kept every single paperback, their spines cracked and pages yellowed, guarding them like gold bars. My literature degree might be unfinished, but these are mine. My laptop. The clothes I haven’t surrendered to Claudette yet. Photos of Dad. Mom's old watch ticking against my wrist.

She canceled them as well. Just like that she ended up canceling all of the points in the checklists with just one remaining. It was-- Read 'Hybrids and their evolution'. Aria ticked that right and pulled out a thick old book with bent edges. It smelled of old library and isolation as if it had not been touched by years. Indeed, it was not, for Aria found it in the sections where the books undesired by students were put. I was not taking the furniture. The books I packed. The professional materials I sorted with the efficiency of someone who had not looked at them in two years and could therefore assess each item on the basis of whether it had value rather than on the basis of sentiment. Most of it did not have sufficient value. I kept a small portion and disposed of the rest.

Kyra- Later that evening, I had been ready to trash the library. I had spent all day reading over different books about different types of magic and learning very little. Everything I had read was about spells and sacrifices and essentially a bunch of absurdity. I don’t know how any of these books were going to help me. I was just wasting my time.
