"Whats that on our hair ?? ..a bird poop ..." his eyes go wide . "Oh my godddd ..go wash it !!" Peach shouts . He immediately made a run for it inside . I chuckled . Peach ran over to her car and unlocked it . "Get in bitch !!" She hissed . I ran and opened the door sitting.

She glared at me. "Yesyes!" Aiden said excitedly. "You're the best!" Cailey said. I laughed so hard to see my wife's reaction, she glared and gestured to kill me. I walked to the door that connects to the garden. Whistle to call that Zeus, he quickly ran to the door and walked inside. "Zeus!" Aiden walked down from his chair and that dog walked to him. Aiden hugged him and Zeus just licked him. "You didn't give it away mom." Cailey said while looking at Zeus.

My heart raced uncontrollably. “Why are you helping me?” I finally asked. He looked at me for a moment, then said, “Because I was there. You didn’t deserve what happened.” His voice changed. It was lower and angrier like he was remembering the rogue wolf. Before I could say anything, a sound broke through. A low growl. Aiden turned fast observing the trees. His eyes glowed. “What was that?” I whispered. He didn’t look at me. “Get inside.”

He pushed himself off the wall, posture snapping into a semblance of neutral. “I was passing,” he said. “On my way to physio.” Lie. The daycare was not on any efficient route between his room and rehab. Up close, his scent was a mess. Not heat. Not battle. Raw. Luna had gone still on the bench at Rhea’s light hand. Now she turned her head, following the adult focus like any clever pup. Her eyes—wide, grey‑brown, silver catching at the edges like mica in stone—landed on Aiden.

I muttered sullenly. Patting my leg my dad nodded and said, “ I will return tomorrow evening so you can try again. Get rest and I will bid you both a goodnight since I must leave for now.” After seeing him out I sat on the couch and rested my chin in my palm. “We need to save Aiden, he can't get involved with Vivian. She and her father's pack are Vaewolves and will corrupt him,” I stated sternly. Sitting across from me Jaxon huffed.

The Luna immediately handed him a cup of water and after his cough had died down, he raised angry pair of eyes at Adelia. "Speak." He pronounced. "I'll be outside, Addy. But still, he was determined, and he managed a weak knock instead. A full minute of silence passed, in which he finally recovered enough to stand up straight, before Aiden’s mother opened the door. “Is Aiden home?” Miles asked eagerly, though very breathily. Ms. Morales opened the door all the way to get a better look at the boy on her doorstep, and the minute she did, she let out a deep, melancholy sigh. “Miles Parker, right?” “Yes Ma’am.” “I’m sorry, but Aiden can’t see you right now.”

He discards the gun as if it were nothing more than a tool, a means to an end, and then he’s beside me, dropping to his knees with a ferocity I’ve never seen before. “Fuck, Dani, fuck!” His voice cracks, raw and desperate. His hands hover over me, shaking, unsure where to start, where to touch. “DAD!” Aiden screams, his voice breaking, the panic rising like a tidal wave in his chest. Two people rush in, but it’s like they’re moving through a dream, out of sync with the world around us. The four dogs follow, growling softly, sniffing at Melody’s lifeless body before retreating in silence.
