she informed Beta Aaron, who respectfully nodded in understanding. "Prepare the ceremonial bowl," he ordered two guards. They were quick to carry over a golden bowl, setting it down in front of us. Luna Selene stepped forward, lighting a match and throwing it into the bowl. Violent flames surged from the bowl. Beta Aaron handed each of us a blade. "A drop of blood into the ceremonial bowl. If the fire turns black, you will be disqualified from participating in the Trials," he explained, keeping his hands behind his back. The she-wolves formed a line, stepping up to the ceremonial bowl.

Elias mutters. The challenger ignores him. Instead he raises his hand slowly. The air ripples. And suddenly— The world around us changes. The glowing platform beneath our feet expands outward. Stretching. Widening. Turning into something massive. An arena. Stars burn above us. Endless space surrounds the edges. The challengers spread out across the platform. The silver-eyed one speaks again. “Three trials.” My heart pounds. “Three?” “Yes.” He gestures toward Dylan. “Trial of strength.”

His gaze lingered on me, as if daring me to refuse. I could feel the fire tightening in my chest, not in fear, but in recognition. The Trial of Flame. Memories not entirely mine flickered at the edges of my mind—Ashara standing in a circle of fire, her hair a halo of embers, her voice screaming as walls of heat closed in. A trial that demanded more than strength; it demanded surrender, sacrifice, and the willingness to let the flame strip you bare.

The day has begun quite cheerful, I hope it goes well. "Senior!" To hell with this annoying creature. He was standing a few feet ahead of us. As he saw me looking at him, he waved at me. Surprisingly, it had a weird effect on my body and I felt some strange excitement running throughout my body. I came to my sense when Wei Wei clutched me and asked, "Do you want me to give him a good scolding?" "Laia, how about all three of us go and deal with him?" RouRou asked.

Cole replies him and I smirk, Just wait for me Blaze, just a little longer and I would have you get so attached to me you might as well be addicted. * |•BLISS•| I'm in the dark basement again, the stench of rotten food filling the air making it difficult for me to breathe. My breath comes out in gasps and I stay huddled to a side, I am suffocating. Suddenly I see her standing before me, her hands stretching towards me — my mother. Still gasping I reach out to hold her but it seems she is so far away that no matter how much I try to hold, my hands don't get any inch closer and then the roof is falling, coming right at me.. I am going to die. My mouth opens and a piercing scream leaves my mout

However, it’d still be cruel to watch her burn. “Uh, I uh….I uh…” “You don't have to watch if you don't want to, you just have to be there. It's paying respect to Anna and Aaron as well” Skye outstretched her hand for me to accept, so we can leave. Even if I wanted to watch, it wouldn't be because I wanted to but because I can't. I would vomit all I ate before I could stand straight with a poker face and watch someone burn. It's not like it's my first time witnessing something like this, however, it's a very cruel something to witness.

I didn't avert my eyes. I let the gold scroll hum against my skin. "I'm exactly where I need to be," I said. The mountain groaned beneath our feet, a low rumble that started in the core of the earth and vibrated through our bones. The Trial had begun. The purple fire of the archives reflected in my mother’s eyes as the first spark of the Forge ignited behind her. "We shall see," she said. She turned and walked into the flames. I followed.

“Before everything else, you should all know. The Trials are being broadcast live across the kingdom.” “Every challenge, every move you make, is being recorded. We have cameras set up throughout the forest and across every trial zone. There’s no hiding, no cheating, and no favoritism.” “The Council, the packs, and everyone out there watching will see exactly what happens. This is about transparency and keeping it fair.” Theodore paused and scanned the group. “So if you’re planning to cheat your way through the trials, I suggest you take a better route. Be warned, because the whole kingdom will be watching.”

This way you wouldn’t have to put up with me… Yes. You should just lie down and accept that you’re going to get torn to pieces by those monsters, how fitting of an end it is. I mean your family did cut into you and throw you away like you were the dirt on the bottom of their shoes, they wanted you to be bait. They wanted you dead. In their defence I would have done the exact same. That’s exactly what that scar means it’s why you should give up. You were meant to die when they used you. My eyes sting as tears and sweat enter them, I should give up. It would be better for everyone if I just stopped trying. Is that what I should do? Give up? Like a coward?

She didn't know what to expect, but instinct screamed that this wasn't just another challenge, it was a test with real consequences. A buzzer sounded from the corner of the room. A hidden panel slid open, revealing a small, secure room. Inside were two chairs and a single screen. Scarlett's pulse quickened. "This is your trial," Dominic said. "Sit. Watch. Decide." She hesitated, then stepped forward, taking a seat. The screen flickered to life, displaying a live feed of a familiar scene in her dorm hallway. And there, in the shadows, were two figures, a person Scarlett recognized from earlier surveillance reports, and… her younger brother, tied and struggling.
