Beside her, Dess had already turned, and Jayda heard the shift in her breathing that meant Dess's hand was already moving before the thought to stop it had fully formed in Jayda's mind, and she reached back and caught Dess's wrist without looking. "Don't," Jayda said. Dess stopped, but the tension in her wrist said everything about how much it cost her to do it. Lisa was watching all of this with the bright, attentive eyes of someone who was cataloguing every reaction and filing it away for later, and she wasn't done, because people like Lisa were never done when they were winning, and she was clearly winning and she knew it.

They were shocked by the content of the video. Freyja showed Daisie the video on her phone. “Do you want to watch?” Daisie took over the phone suspiciously. “What am I watching?” What she saw repulsed her. She pushed the phone away. “Why did you show me that!” Freyja suddenly laughed. “You know the girl in the video.” Daisie hesitantly took another look after hearing that and was stunned. “That’s…” Lisa! Freyja sat in her seat. “Nothing happened to Julianna in the black market. It was Lisa, and it has been cleared.”

All I could see was the bracelet on Karen's wrist. It was the only keepsake my mother had ever left me. I had locked it in the bedroom safe, and only Frederick and I knew the combination. Before he left me out in the wilderness, I had begged him to give it back. However, he told me I'd get it once I realized my mistake. But now, the bracelet that should've been safely locked away was wrapped around someone else's wrist. Colette followed my gaze and noticed what I was looking at. She covered her mouth, then let out a chuckle.

As we exchanged rings, I held Yasmin Walsh's hand, and my gaze fell on her wrist. An old silver watch hung there, its dial yellowed with age, its hands forever frozen at 3:07. "Take off the watch," I said. Her smile stiffened. Instinctively, she pulled her hand back. "Jayden Burke, stop it. Everyone is watching." I didn't move. I repeated myself softly, but loud enough for the entire hall to hear, "Take off the watch."

I cursed, exiting my mail and dialing Lisa's contact immediately. Someone was onto her and after her. Her phone rang but she wasn't picking up my calls. "Shit" I cursed and dialed another contact. "Hello boss" "Where is Lisa?" I asked immediately he pocket up the call. "She is currently in class and I am watching her as per your orders" I sighed in relief. "Someone else is watching her. Find the person out" "Yes sir. Kill on sight?" He asked and I paused for a second. "No, I would have to know who sent that person"

Anaya yelled, her eyes locked on the dark silhouette of Christ Church looming at the far end of the square. Vikram reached into his leather satchel, his fingers brushing past the cold glass of the vial before gripping the shattered silver pocket watch they had pulled from the underground vault. The metal casing was burning hot now, the internal friction of its forced counter-rotation melting the intricate brass gears within. He raised the watch toward the advancing line of shadow entities and slammed his thumb down on the master winding crown.

He just stood there, still watching me. And I was already gone. I knew his names now—Adrian. Lisa let out a sharp breath beside me, pinching my arm hard enough to snap me out of the trance. “Holy hell,” she whispered, eyes wide. I could practically feel the excitement radiating off her like heat. And it wasn’t just her. Every woman in line—VIP or general—was watching him. Watching us. But Adrian didn’t even glance their way. His eyes stayed on me. “You know him?” Lisa asked, leaning close, voice barely audible over the thumping bass.

I stick the key into the ignition, looking up when something dark catches my eye. It's him. The Watchman. He's standing where he always stands but this time he's facing me, like he wants me to see him. He's completely motionless-a statue-and then he vanishes into thin air. Oh. My. God. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it. Am I hallucinating? Has losing my entire family finally pushed me over the edge? Can taking Prozac for over two months cause some kind of delusional side effect?

Liiza's POV I'm not sure where we are going but Zach told me to get ready, which is what I'm doing. I took a warm shower and calmed myself down and made sure I'm clean. I changed into a fit crop top and black ripped jeans then black heels.  I put on light makeup and curled my brown hair, then walked out. The time was already 6 by the time I finish so I just went and sat withe Lucas. We both watch catfish: the tv show, till Zach arrived.

"Look at her and where she’s headed." Ava's eyes zoomed in on Lisa's hand, and her smile grew wider. "Ah, yes. The little spy… what is she up to?" Ava's eyes remained fixed on the screen as Lisa approached her room, her heart racing with anticipation. Lisa stopped outside the door, hesitated for a moment, and then entered, turning on the lights. Ava's mind raced with questions, silently asking herself, "What is Lisa doing? What is she looking for?" On the screen, Lisa began to search the room, her eyes scanning every inch of the space.
