Robbie did a quick double-check before we jumped from the boat and onto the dock. "You are covered in salt," Robbie said, laughing as he brushed white grains from my cheek. "There's a freshwater bucket over there." He took my hand and guided me toward an old-fashioned water spigot and turned it on. Crystal clear water sloshed out, and I put my hand under the flow. The water was warm, and I smiled. Robbie lifted a bucket and slid it under the spout. Memories of the last time the two of us had rinsed off under a bucket like this flooded my mind. I found myself aching to kiss him.

She was so close, she couldn’t chicken out now. They entered the library. Robin lay on the white couch, wearing black leggings under a knitted black tunic with scooped neck. The tall, blonde, model-looking woman hugged a pink teddy bear, with a box of tissues next to her. Sitting on the nearby coffee table was a box of milk chocolates. Robin had always bragged that her chocolates were imported from Switzerland, which was why she never shared. Brooke rolled her eyes at her cousin’s pathetic display. Too bad Robin wasn’t an actress. She’d receive an Academy Award for her acting this time.

Smithy repeated the move, blood appeared in his thinning hair. "Everywhere! Shadows and souls...there's broken dead everywhere! Watching...they ain't gonna move...scared..." His voice faded as he took a breath before bellowing with heightened volume. "Don't let them take me!" Or really stupid. Could go either way.” We were quiet for a second, then she said, “Hey... worst case, they don’t get along. So what? We still have each other. And tequila. And maybe a YouTube video if someone records the showdown.”

Just as Robin passed through an archway on his way to meet Benjamin, Carol dumped the entire bottle of ice-cold lemon water on him without hesitation. “Ahhh—!” Robin screamed. The lemon water stung his eyes, and the chill hit him like a wave. He quickly wiped at his face, the phone slipping from his hand. Meanwhile, someone who had been waiting in the shadows snatched the device and vanished.

After returning to the hotel, Donna gave Robin's wound some basic first aid. He was exhausted after crying all along the way and eventually fell into a deep sleep. Robin felt extremely chilly when he woke up, "Mommy, what are you doing?" In the bathroom, Donna poured cold water over his head, causing him to struggle and try to stand up in the bathtub.
