I laughed as I watched him scream with excitement before I clapped my hands and walked to the end of the plank. “Swimming naked? Seriously? I heard that’s a high school tradition among boys and fraternity dares.” I said as Elijah swam closer. “Are you scared of water? I heard vampires are scared of holy things.” Elijah flirted as I stared at him in disbelief. “A little water prayed by a priest is like a piece of paper soaked in water. Harmless when dry and useless wet.” I replied as Elijah hummed. “Then why don’t you show me how harmless this water is. Unless you’re scared you’ll drown. Kael immediately covered his face while Elena suddenly found the grain of the table fascinating. Elaine pulled out a chair and sat beside Kael before her eyes landed on the book. “You are reading that?” Elena instantly regretted bringing it out. “What is wrong with it?” “It is nonsense.” Elaine glanced at the cover before looking back at her sister. “A human becomes a White Wolf because a prince kissed her. If that was all it took, the kingdom would be full of White Wolves.” “See?” Rowan said. “For once, someone here has common sense.”
