The forbidden love with my vampire master

The forbidden love with my vampire master

He probably felt that the two he gave me were not enough, so he gave me all the boxes of anesthetics. At this dose, the elephant must have been numbed twenty times, right? During this period, I moved only in my room and study. There are Ike and soldiers guarding the outside, vampires can't get in here. I found all the books in Noah study that were related to the Bloods and looked through them one by one. And those books, most of them are books on the history between humans and vampires, and books on the study of humans and vampires. The one Noah showed me was rather unusually

The Wolf Who Chose Me

The Wolf Who Chose Me

Azriel brushed one with his fingers. And he felt it. A mother naming her daughter by a river. A child planting a blade in the earth like a prayer. Three strangers laughing around a fire, not knowing it was their last. Stories not famous. Not remembered. But true. Elen touched the wall and pulled back, breathless. “These are the memories we lost.” Mira stood beside her, gaze soft. “The ones we sacrificed just to survive.” Kael ran his hand across a memory. “Why keep them?”

Preparing the Zoo for Christmas

Preparing the Zoo for Christmas

] Thor the Tiger: [Kid, you’ll learn when you’re my age that human kindness often hides a loaded gun. Wendy the Capybara: [All these messages are making me sleepy. I’m going to take a nap.] Kingsley the Monkey: [I think we should keep observing. Thor the Tiger, don’t be impulsive.] Thor the Tiger: [Hmph.] It was like a tiger’s roar echoed through the group, and the chat went quiet. I shook my head and kept working. Normally, we could take a lunch break, but there was too much to do in the elephant enclosure. The urgent task was to restore running water. Without it, bacteria would breed, and the elephants would fall ill.

The Favor: A Forbidden Stepbrother Collection

He lowers his voice, “she watches us to make sure we aren’t a threat.” “How does she know we aren’t?” JD asks. “Elephants are smart,” the driver says. “Some say if you look into the eyes of an elephant, you can see the very soul of the world reflecting back.” He nods slightly, “trust me, she knows who is and who is good.” “Like Santa?” Cleo asks slowly. “Just like Santa,” James answers. “So we must always be good to the elephants and never hurt them.” “Why is that one by itself?” JD asks, pointing to a lone elephant that is trailing behind the herd.

I am Not a Poor Daddy

I am Not a Poor Daddy

Every time she went to this store, Dinda always looked so excited to choose books with animal stories or fantasy stories. In the store, Dinda started walking from shelf to shelf, looking for a book that caught her attention. Sebastian followed her, occasionally helping her reach the books neatly arranged on the high shelves. Finally, Dinda found a picture book of a little elephant going on an adventure to find a friend. Her eyes shone as she showed the book to Sebastian. “Daddy, I want this book! Look, there’s a cute little elephant!” she exclaimed, smiling broadly. Sebastian stroked Dinda’s head gently. “Of course, honey. Daddy bought it for you. You’ll definitely like the story about this

The Fire That Chose Me

The Fire That Chose Me

“You were born with something inside you. A flame that was dormant—sleeping. But it didn’t come from me. I only… woke it up.” Her breath caught. “You’re saying I’ve always had this?” she whispered. “The visions? The fire?” “In a way, yes. It was buried deep. Most people never awaken it. You would’ve lived your whole life never knowing—if it weren’t for what’s coming.” Evelynn’s skin prickled. “What is coming?” He walked slowly to a shelf, pulled down a tattered journal, and handed it to her. Inside were sketches. Of creatures. Of symbols. Of her.

MAY

MAY

Maryam, still on her school uniform, tugged on May's sweater as they passed a bookstore. "What is it now?" May asked. "Buy me that book." Maryam pointed at the yellow book sitting on the shelf just outside the bookstore. "Why?" May queried. "Isn't that Half of a Yellow Sun written by Chimamanda Adichie?" Iby asked. "I want it," Maryam whined. "Mtcheww. Leave me oh. I’m here to only buy oranges." May said, walking towards where the oranges were sold. Maryam began crying. Iby turned to her. "Are you seriously crying because you want your mom to buy you a book?"

The Dream Elixir
This book was beautifully written and I enjoyed it so very much. It made me feel so many things and I was on the edge of my seat for most of the while because I really wanted the best for May. I felt so much anger towards Edric, uncertainty towards Tega, and love for Edric. definitely insightful
Sinikiem precious
Nice book. I love how it treats domestic issues prevalent in a lot of Nigerian homes. I also love how the book doesn't glamorize abuse like other pics I've read in this genre. Seeing as the author is a girl from Bayelsa, it gives me joy that she adds elements of her background in the story.

Fangs of Fate

Fangs of Fate

The air crackled with the energy of accumulated knowledge, and the scent of aging parchment filled their senses. Row upon row of ancient tomes lined the shelves, their spines bearing the weight of forgotten stories. As the pack members carefully selected books, the whispers of the past danced in their ears, beckoning them to discover the truths hidden within. Rachel immersed herself in a book that revealed the ancient migration patterns of creatures long gone, tears of both joy and sorrow streaming down her face. She felt connected to the spirits of those who came before, their journeys echoing through her own soul. Sarah found a volume that chronicled the lost art of communication with the

The Mafia’s heir’s bride

The Mafia’s heir’s bride

His hand trembled as he knelt, dipping his fingers into the icy water. A shock traveled up his arm, his heart jolting. The river whispered low, haunting, like a thousand voices speaking at once. He gasped, jerking his hand back, but not before he saw it. A shape beneath the water. A book. Black, pulsing faintly with veins of crimson, as though it breathed. Elowen's breath caught, her eyes wide with awe and fear. "The book…" Jackson stumbled forward, peering over Donato's shoulder. "Is that really it? Just lying there?"

The Omega's Triplet Hybrids

The Omega's Triplet Hybrids

My eyes fell over her list and saw Liam was the very last one. My damn curiosity got the better of me. Vance and Christian had managed to win me over with the five minutes they’d been given, what would a full date with them be like? I’d also passed along two other shifters: a zebra and an elephant. The zebra had a heavy South African accent that was utterly delicious to listen to … zeh-brah. The elephant had made me laugh. Though I couldn’t even remember now about what. Hmm, yes something about his trunk…

Pertanyaan yang Sering Diajukan

I stumbled upon 'Sky Full of Elephants' a while back, and its blend of surreal imagery and emotional depth really stuck with me. If you enjoyed that, you might love 'The Night Circus' by Erin Morgenstern. It’s got that same dreamlike quality, where the boundaries between reality and fantasy blur in the most enchanting way. The circus itself feels like a character, much like the elephants in the sky, and the prose is just as lyrical.

Another great pick is 'The Ocean at the End of the Lane' by Neil Gaiman. It’s a short but powerful read that captures childhood wonder and lurking darkness in equal measure. Gaiman’s ability to weave mundane settings with extraordinary elements reminds me a lot of the whimsical yet poignant tone in 'Sky Full of Elephants'. For something more experimental, try 'House of Leaves'—it’s a labyrinth of a book, both literally and figuratively, with layers of narrative that might appeal to fans of unconventional storytelling.
