“Please open your book page th-three.” The children, impatiently did as they were asked. They hoped the class in set up Elmbridge School's mystical and non-mystical creatures’ sanctuary would become a place full of lions, elephants or ... even dragons. Even greater was the joy when they thought that all creatures ... would be them, after shapeshifting. They all opened the books, but when everyone saw what was on that page, all the joy on their faces disappeared with Von Halgen's confidence. “Wh-wh-wh-what happened? Why a-a-are you sad?”

In the water he too had doubles—three heads snarling at one another, fighting, tearing, their unity shattered. Ellie’s hand shook. “It’s a trick,” she said. “It’s all a trick.” But the cruel-eyed Ellie sneered. “You don’t believe that. You think you’ll fail him. You think you’ll fail everyone.” Ellie’s throat closed. The chained reflection raised its hollow eyes. “You are no hero. You are a girl in too deep.” The real water trembled. Cerebus barked sharply, snapping Ellie out of the trance. He stepped into the lake. Ripples spread—but instead of drowning, he walked across it as though the water had chosen to hold him. He turned, three heads looking back, urging her forward.

Nora had left to continue working but she said I could stay in her room for as long as I wanted. I got into reading her book, it was a fairytale about a water elf who fell in love with a forest elf. They were rivals with great responsibilities to their own land and people but their love didn't dim with the time they were forced to stay apart- if anything it grew until the pain of being separated was stronger than their love for each other. As a result of their wounded hearts, the oceans turned into chaos with waves so big they covered entire cities. The forest slowly died, the tree crowns hung as though on a tired neck and the colors turned grey from decay.

I noticed the excitement in his eyes and realized he must really love his books. When we stepped into the library, I was marveled by the collection of books that were neatly placed at the shelves. Williams walked away from my side to pick up a book on the table and come over to meet me. "This book here is an ancient work written to understand the heart of the moon goddess." He mentioned and flipped through the pages. "I was reading through the pages, where the moon goddess mention symphony between the water element and the fire element." "What does that even mean?" I asked.

“You didn’t just feel it, Kimberly. You called it. That’s not small.” Encouraged, she tried again, this time closing her eyes. She thought of water not as resistance, but as life, blood in veins, rain on thirsty soil, tears of joy and grief. Slowly, the stream rose, a graceful arc, swirling around her hand like a serpent of liquid glass. Elara’s lips curved faintly. “Good. Now command it.” Kimberly exhaled and thrust her arm forward. The water leapt from the stream like a spear, striking a distant boulder with such force that it cracked down the middle. Kimberly staggered back in shock.

His hand trembled as he knelt, dipping his fingers into the icy water. A shock traveled up his arm, his heart jolting. The river whispered low, haunting, like a thousand voices speaking at once. He gasped, jerking his hand back, but not before he saw it. A shape beneath the water. A book. Black, pulsing faintly with veins of crimson, as though it breathed. Elowen's breath caught, her eyes wide with awe and fear. "The book…" Jackson stumbled forward, peering over Donato's shoulder. "Is that really it? Just lying there?"

Kharyn said. “Then, I will read this now.” Zenus and Kharyn exchanged glances. And they nodded. Both appeared uneasy. WHEN Eleand reached his room, he immediately changed his clothes. His wings were nowhere in sight. He hurriedly looked at the old book, and it seemed to talk with him for some reason. The texts inside must have had a significant amount of magic. It was utterly different compared to the books he had used. Read me. He knew that wasn’t hallucinations. The book talked in his mind!

"This is Ellie. This is Peanut. This is Big Boy. This is Tiny. This is Ella. And this is Jumbo!" "That's a lot of elephants." "I love elephants. They remember. Mama says elephants never forget." Margaret's eyes fill with tears again. "That's true. Elephants remember everything. Just like people." The visit lasts an hour. Then Ethan gets tired. Cranky. Ready for lunch and a nap. "I should go," Margaret says. "Thank you for letting me meet him. For giving me this." "He's a good kid. Despite everything. Despite his genetics. Despite his history. He's just a good kid."

Darius picked up the parcel without any ounce of fear and tore it open. The first item he brought out was a small glass container containing water. Then he brought out a book, which I recognised. "The book of illusions," I muttered. Then the third item he brought out was also a small, glass container, containing sand in it. "This contains water, more precisely, rain water. As above, so below." He explained, "This book, the book of illusions which has the ability to suck anyone who opens it inside. Don't judge a book by its cover."
