I say as he corners me, jumping off the walls of the cell and making sure he's not at one place at a time. He lurches his clawed hand, aiming for my face. I arch my back, bending low. His arm slides over me in a fluid miss. I raise another tiny ball of water against him. It shoots into his back like a missile. He bursts through the wall of the cell, landing against the other end in the hallway. Fogs of dust and debris last for seconds in the air. He's up before I can say Jack. Like a trained fighter, he jumps off a wall and rolls in the air like flash. His feet connect with my shoulder. I groan, falling on one knee. My open palm hits him before he can land.

The water drowns out the world. Until something shifts. A breath. Soft. Out of place. My eyes snap open. Another noise—barely there, but sharp enough to cut through the water. In one fluid motion, I twist, grab the intruder’s wrist, slam them against the shower wall—water splattering off skin and tile. My forearm locks against their throat; my knee pins their hip. My other hand lifts, claws half-shifted, ready to pierce through flesh. And then— It hits me.

The purple light went blindingly white. Mwajuma didn't wait for the explosion. In mid-air, she reached out her hand toward the massive hanging vine. She focused every ounce of her remaining mana into the dust on her palm. She created a dense, heavy stone weight, connected to her wrist by a thin, flexible tether of woven earth and roots. She threw the stone like a bola. The stone weight wrapped perfectly around the thick vine. The tether caught tight. The sudden deceleration wrenched Mwajuma’s shoulder socket, tearing a scream from her lungs, but her downward momentum was halted. She swung wildly through the air, away from the falling monster.

Alfi still manages to attack Wira. “Don’t you get it? Iru can vanish water and this arm is made of pure Iru!” Alfi exclaimed giving Wira an uppercut that Wira hurled far enough. Tanco comes out from Wira’s underwear. “Wira, He’s really strong! Just use that technique already!” Tanco exclaimed. Wira gets up and says. “I know that. He grunted at the force and superheated his hands to cause the brat to flinch away. His magic raced across the ground to latch onto and pierce the brat's core, sending a wave of ill-intent rushing back to him through his magic like a shock to his system. It rendered him immobile for a split second – the next, he was choking on his own spit as the brat slammed a heavy hand around his throat with a searing magical force that burned into his skin.

Cynthia’s POV “The water prison is in a cave,” Galen explains quietly. He draws in a deep, labored breath, as if it hurts him to continue speaking about it. “Are you alright?” I ask tentatively. “Yeah, yeah.” His tone is dismissive, but I don’t quite believe him. “Just… it’s. Um. It’s horrible to think about. Sorry. The water prison is in a cave–there’s this natural waterfall tucked somewhere in the mountains, and the cell is in a little hollow right by the water. My father adds some sort of special substance to the water that prevents werewolf wounds from healing, so after being beaten and put in the water prison, the body gradually grows weaker and weaker from blood loss.”

He couldn’t believe it—I had escaped the trap he set for me. Without hesitation, I dove back into the water, stretching my arms forward and kicking hard. My movements were fluid, effortless. Every stroke cut through the water with precision. Kunle, realizing how fast I was gaining on him, panicked. His once-powerful strokes turned frantic, his arms flailing like a drowning man. He fought against the water, desperate to hold onto his lead. But it was useless. I surged past him with ease. The water, once an enemy, now felt like an extension of my body, carrying me forward.
