The story's idea was first made by the 12 year-old me (which was about 8 years ago). Too many things happened and because of our family transferring from one place to another, the papers on which I had written the story into, were misplaced and gone. I had them handwritten before. Luckily, I somehow got bored one day and remembered about this, so I decided to download Wattpad again and recover

I laugh a bit in his embrace, "They're just stories, Toff." "But you seem to read that kinda genre all the time. I got scared thinking I'm going to lose my bestfriend to a Mafia." "Think you're the one who thinks too much of those stories," we've separated but still look at each other, "Perhaps we shouldn't share the same Wattpäd account anymore." "No, how am I going to keep track of your reading habit then?" I roll my eyes, "That's the purpose of having separate accounts. So you can stop stalking me."

I had a special liking for these particular characters and I just realized that I was willing to be insanely dedicated into building the lives of these characters. These characters are the Williams family; Yemisi, David, Alexander, Demi, Cassandra and Ebunoluwa. Yes, the characters I write about now and the characters y'all read about. It all started from me just drawing slim, unreal figures of each of them at the back of my examination question paper and then writing little little stories about them, news updates on my higher education note at school, and then moving on to writing actual stories of them individually in a long, hard cover notebook till I then stumbled on an app called Wattpa

Now, I have a tiny request… 🙏🙏 "Please, comment your thoughts below" Tell me what resonated with you. Share your favorite moments, your favorite characters, the scenes that made you cry or cheer or throw your phone in frustration (hopefully in a good way). Did Milo's journey mirror anything in your own life? Did Damon's devotion restore your faith in true love? Did the themes of healing and self-worth speak to you in unexpected ways?

Confusion and disbelief tangled inside me like two hands trying to pull me in different directions. I clicked on one of the reposts. A stranger had written a full paragraph not a line, not a compliment, a paragraph, about how the story made them cry, how it made them call their sister, how they had never felt so seen by a fictional character. I blinked. Slowly. Like if I blinked too fast the words would disappear. Another repost. Someone tagged their best friend. Read this now. It is you in book form. Then another. Someone wrote, This is the next big thing in contemporary storytelling.

And he agreed with what they said. “Theia,” he started, but I held up my hand. I tried to speak, but the lump in my throat was too much and I couldn’t form words. I couldn’t understand why I was reacting so strongly. I had been rejected before. Not like this in a werewolf cutting bond way, but still I had. I wondered if it would hurt me like it did in the stories that I wrote. Or would I not feel it because I was just a weak, stupid human? One glance at the smarmy look on Liam’s face told me he was happy I was suffering.
