I looked out of the car and sighed when Alex closed it back. "Can't a girl get some fresh air?" "That's not all you'll get, trust me. I gave it to you, but you were so mad that you didn't even listen to me. Luckily, the vest saved your life," Matthew explained calmly.

I turned to find Bullet standing there, her eyes sharp and calculating, like a predator preparing to pounce. "What do you want?" I snapped. She ignored my question, rolling her eyes before walking past me. "Boss doesn't trust you. From now on, we’re partners on missions." With that, she entered a black car parked outside, and I followed her. The driver, covered in tattoos and with his hair braided, gave us a nod before taking off. We reached our destination, a dark building nestled in the shadows of the night. Bullet and I stayed low, blending into the darkness, moving swiftly like shadows. We had a mission to complete.

The jar sat there, sealed tight. Inside, ants writhed over each other, restless. Hungry. Bullet ants. The kind that makes grown men sob like children. I palmed the jar, turned back to him. His good eye tracked it. "You ever been stung by one of these?” I tapped the glass. A few ants reared up, mandibles clicking, "Hurts like a bullet. Hence the name." I contacted the security team with my heart beating hard. With their attitude, I could have collapsed under normal circumstances.
