BRIELLE Wednesdays. That time of the week that stuck right in the middle, giving you hope… telling you that the weekend will be here soon. I liked Wednesdays. I mean, not as much as I did Fridays, but you get my drift. Dylan was supposed to be returning from his trip today, and honestly speaking, that had been the highlight of my week. True, we spoke on the phone at the least chance we got, but it still wasn’t the same as seeing him in the flesh.

“I'm…tired.” “I know, baby.” I whispered back, cupping her face in my hands. “I’m sorry.” Her lips trembled, but she didn’t cry. She hadn’t cried since the auction, and I wasn't sure whether or not that was a good thing. Gently, I peeled her clothes from her body, before leading her into the bathroom and scrubbing her down under the hot water. It had been so long since we’d taken a hot bath. “Warm mommy.” Enid whispered, smiling happily as she fisted the soapy water in her tiny hands.

Drew asks me. "It's Wednesday," I simply state and Drew nods in understanding. Little curious Cassandra lifts her dark brows. "What's Wednesday mean?" Before I have the chance to tell her that it's none of her business, Drew replies, "Every other Wednesday night, Crayvin here, has dinner with his parents." Cassandra's expression changes. Her eyes darken but flicker with a tiny spark and the corners of her thin lips curl upwards. "What?" I grunt, annoyed with the full-on smirk she now wears.
