I didn't know what he was thinking, and if I could read midns like he could, then I guess he wouldn't have had anything to keep to himself. Wolves couldn't read minds. We only went with our instincts, and our nostrils that could go lengths, while vampires could do their stuff, and even read minds. That was what Xander could do, he usually read the minds of people, those girls that loved to he around him, and just took their heats and read them. Though he wasn't able to do that to me most of the time, I knew that I couldn't have done it either. Why the hell was he suddenly gloomy, and why was he looking that way?

He looked up at me and spat out a chunk of the man, and nodded, ready to go. I walked on, opening doors to make sure they were clear as we passed, knowing Xander and Elias probably had Balista cornered in one of them. I kicked in a door to the left, and no one was there. "Clear!" A few wolves ran past, but Seven stayed on my flank. Gunfire, growling, shouts, and screams echoed off the walls in the warehouse as we made our way through. I kicked open a door to the right. Nothing. "Clear!" Then I came to another door across the hallway and heard voices. I kicked it open, and Xander and Elias were standing there nude, having just shifted, and Balista and Sasha were backed against the wall.

I tried to ask hoping they had an answer for me because nothing about the Kingsley boys ever makes sense to me. “oh come on, I’m sure you have read at least one werewolf teen novel in your life” Axel remarked only to be swatted on his arm by his twin to silence him. He wasn’t wrong, obviously I have read a few of those kind of books but they are just made up romance’s for teens to fantasise about. “Yeah but they were just fiction, right?” I spoke my thoughts out loud, the question earning a chuckle from the twins.

Letting go of the beam I wrapped my legs around its neck, grabbing it by the head and snapping it sideways, sending it careening backwards. Letting out an unearthly growl that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up as it fell to the ground, but it wasn’t dead. I felt its claws dig into my waist and I let out a gasp of pain. Jumping off it I grabbed my staff once more, still clutching my waist. Before I could do anything more, I smelt two very familiar scents - Dad and Alejandro’s. They burst through the double doors two seconds later, both taking a second to take in the scene before the Wendigo leapt forward in a flash. Shifting back to our human form, we grabbed Axel's hands and tried to help him up when we heard another growl behind us. Aria screamed as the beats grabbed her and flung her away before grabbing Axel and I. The Wendigo, holding the both of us now, began to run deep into the woods. I Tried to hold onto a tree or anything strong but it was so f*cking strong. I couldn't hold onto anything for support and if I did, it quickly snapped because of its speed. Soon I could hear Aria's wolf running towards us from behind.
