The wolf began to shift and the wolves that had been running with him stopped back at the tree line, as if he had told them to. A minute later I was looking at the new Alpha Zachary. Was this his sister or something? No … she said she was an orphan… “Get the fuck away from my Luna,” he yelled, seething. The she-wolf backed away from me, but also away from him. Suddenly two men fell from the sky, literally, making us all jump. “Vampires,” the she-wolf said, leaping away from them. I could tell right away by how they were dressed that they were Shadows. All black clothes, black combat boots.

She nodded and looked above at the sky causing the lightning thunder bolts to fall down on the wolves and kill them on the spot.

They emerged from the shadows, their forms flickering like dying flames, their eyes burning with the same malevolent fire that burned in Drax's gaze. The wolves snarled and growled, their teeth bared in a chorus of hatred and violence.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden hue over campus, Charlie, Maya, Ethan, and Liam gathered in their secret hiding place, the old abandoned hedge garden behind the science building.
