Nathaniel clenched the tip of my shoulder as I was about to hop out of the car. "Hear what?" I asked with my sharp eyes pointed at his hand. Then, he let go of his grip and nodded to the house. "Heartbeats." He muttered. Out of curiosity, I enhanced my werewolf senses and dragged them to the house. Indeed, there were thunderous heartbeats vibrated my ears. The kind of heartbeats when you feel when something was trying to kill you. "She's in danger..." I quickly hopped out of the car and shift into a wolf and jumped over the fence.

He was eating this story up. “Well, turns out it was a werewolf named Kevin Sung. He liked eating fresh heart meat. Instead of hunting deer or elk or some other wildlife, he realized it was easier to hunt humans. He liked overweight, male hearts and figured rest stops were the fastest way to get them. Authorities figured out it was a werewolf, so they hired me.”

He turned it and over the clicking of the metal, he heard the near silent whimper from the wolf. He pushed the door open. The wolf was sitting in a chair by the desk. I heard whispers behind me from the guards, ignoring them as I approached the poisoned but living werewolf. Kevin warned his subordinates with a glance, and the scene quieted down. Then, he followed my steps closely, “Ella, any discoveries?” I stared at the enlarged pupils of the poisoned werewolf, their trembling body from the cold, and gestured with sign language.
