Emily's heart quickened as she realized she was in the presence of a revered elder, a keeper of ancient knowledge. The elder's voice was a melodic whisper that seemed to echo through the depths of Emily's soul. They spoke of the prophecies that foretold the coming of a chosen one, a bridge between worlds that possessed the power to reshape the destiny of both humans and werewolves. With bated breath, Emily listened intently as the elder unraveled the tapestry of history, recounting legends of ancient battles, forbidden romances, and the delicate balance between light and darkness. It was a tale of love and sacrifice, of the choices that defined the fate of their kind.

“I’m telling you—she’s trouble for. You should’ve seen her when we were attacked. The way she tore through Blood Clan like she was born to fight. She jumped in front of that spear without flinching. What is she?” Nora walks toward me, her face pale. “This cannot be happening… not now… not her…” “What’s happening?” I shout, stomping closer. “Tell me now!” She looks at me for a long moment before speaking. Her voice is low. Cold. “There’s a legend passed through the druids. An all-blood werewolf. One born of all the tribes. A wolf who can command, Kill and heal the shucks. A wolf who can unite the packs… or destroy them. He—or she—will rise when the world is on the edge of collapse.”

I knew there was no way Colton could come up with such a devious, intelligent plan. Anger and frustration boiled in my chest. She’s a step ahead again. Until today, she knows how to ruin my life. Still, confusion also tugged at the back of my mind. What Eamon said earlier really shook my core. That she’s a rogue of Helios— I have suspected, but from a millennium ago? That’s madness. Werewolves live an average of 300 years— with 10 years being a century equivalent in human years, as they say. It’s because of the sanctity of a lycan’s soul that we must die and find our way back to the Moon Goddess.

he said so sternly surprising her because that was the tone he uses with everyone else, never with her. She gulped nervously and nodded her head as a go-ahead. Roman just hissed and ran his hands through his snow-white hair before he continued, " as I was saying, several centuries back when the first wolves existed, werewolves were having a hard time balancing their were-life with a human life. You see the thing is that we were all once humans before but in a small village, the first set of wolves was formed after some young men and women went into a forbidden forest known as the home of a sorceress their village had banished. "

She knew something wasn’t right, especially after that telling glance. As the conversation lightened, Dragon raised his hand, signaling for attention, and spoke with an air of authority, “There’s something else you should know about werewolves. When mates discover their destined bond, they must spend one night in the Cave of Souls. It’s an ancient place that deepens their connection on a spiritual level. That night grants them a vision of their shared future, binding their hearts in ways that cannot be undone.”

"No, Del, you know what you're going to do is very wrong." "Delaphine," Junior again called her. "I'm coming, give me a sec," Delaphine told him. "You don't have to come, Delaphine," said to me. She immediately looked wary. “I know I said I was ready for your secrets, but I’m not sure I really am,” she confessed. “This one is a good one,” I said with a smile, praying that she would see it that way. She looked at me expectantly. “Werewolves get their wolf at eighteen. After that, their wolf is always looking for their mate. We mate with just one wolf, someone that the moon goddess picked for us. It’s called fated mates.”

"How much do you know about werewolves?" "Oh," I muttered, surprised at his question. I thought he would have asked me to elaborate on what I said to him yesterday. "I know a few things.
