I heard Natasha say.
Squaring my shoulders, I braced myself, opened the door, and walked out.
I saw their eyes widen in shock as they saw the subject of their discussion walk out into the open.
I went straight to the sink, turned on the tap, and washed my hands. Then wiped my hands with a paper towel and discarded it.
When I was done, I turned around and leveled both of them with a hard stare.
"Just to correct a tiny detail," I began, "I'm not from the countryside. I am from Salt Lake City, Utah. A place of my birth, and a city I am proud to call home."
