I wish I knew him, I mean I know him from stories I've been told about him but it's not the same as having him in front of me in the flesh telling me that he loved me and the he was proud of me and everything I've done in my life. Knowing that I'll never meet him made my chest hurt even more. I felt my eyes sting and closed them but still, the tears rolled down my face like a waterfall. I wish he was there when I first shifted. I wish he was there when I first got my heart broken. I wish he was there when I took my drivers test. I wish he was here in general watching me accomplish so many things at just 17 but that's all it will ever be. Just wishes, wishes that no matter how hard you tried

I added. "Why did you know a lot of things about love?" He asked as if he couldn't believe I could say something like that. "Because I've been there, done that. But I'm just unlucky, I felt that with the wrong person. That's why I'm telling you not to think too much about what I said about love. You might be like me who felt all those feelings with the wrong person. It's better if you have your own standards or basis to keep your heart safe. Our hearts will always be fragile and stupid". I said with a snort.

I wanted to have sex with someone that I actually loved and who felt the same way about me. To Rian this was all just a game. And to me, this was all just to get out of here and live my life. Besides, it would be nice to travel the world with the love of my life. It would be a dream come true so I didn't understand why Rian looked like I'd just asked for the most absurd thing ever. Everyone wished for true love all the time so it wasn't like it was an unusual thing to wish for. I chuckled at the expression on his face. "What? I wish for true love. Why do you look so shocked?"

He talked about love and how much love can heal a broken mind and soul , stating that if you must love then you must forget all the pains in your heart. "The love you hated could be your perfect love. The love I hated saved me and has mended my heart for good", Harry said in his speech.

I had believed that love could grow with time, and I had believed that sincerity could move mountains; that enough devotion could melt even the coldest heart. After all those years, I finally understood. It had all been nothing more than my own wishful thinking. I had been nothing more than a moth drawn to a flame.

Very lonely. I wish I could tell her all these. I wish I could tell her that I've been living on the edge. I wish I could tell her that my nineteen-year-old body was exhausted from feeling so many intense emotions at once. I wish I could tell her that I fell in love with a man I shouldn't have fallen for. That I hold him dear to my heart like my deepest, unholy secret, even though he's literally ruining my life.

"How do you even know?" Mom leaned in, her voice getting serious. "Deep love... pure love... it’s when someone becomes your peace, not just your storm. It’s knowing that even if you lost your beauty, your job, or your wolf, that person would still be standing right there because your soul is the only thing they care about. It’s about respect. It’s about wanting what’s best for the other person, even if it hurts you. It’s a choice you make every single day, not just a feeling that hits you in the dark."

But I know this version of me is learning something essential: Love isn’t proven by proximity. It’s proven by what you do with the distance.
