he couldn’t finish his sentence. “Well, there used to be dragons and the last one got killed a few years ago. Other than that, we have vampires, witches and hybrids. Quite a few magical creatures, actually.” He told him. “Great, just splendid.” He said, though his face suggested it was anything but splendid or anything near that category, “Umm, okay. So, why don’t humans know about it?”

He looks over to me before continuing, "The Vampires, the Werewolves, the Witches, and lastly the cat shifters, known as Werecats." Okay, this guy is on drugs. He seriously needs some help. "Jason, this isn’t the time for jokes. My mom is kidnapped, and here you are telling me that Vampires and Werewolves exist. I wasn’t born yesterday, okay?" I say, angry that he’s taking this as a joke. "I know it’s a lot to take in, Alex. I understand. If I were in your position, I would react the same way, but what I’m telling you is true. The supernatural world does exist."

Magic would consume and burn them in the end. I sank at the last words. What if they were used by bad people to do evil magic? Were the consequences still applied? If yes, then poor them. It wasn't their choice to be born a witch. The book also wrote about a pact that happened long ago between supernatural creatures not to cross each other's line. But some definitely did. Unfortunately, it didn't write about consequences. Perhaps the consequences never existed because it was a peaceful agreement. My lips instantly curved into a smile the moment I smelled my mate. He appeared behind the door with a tray in his hands.

Many people want to research supernatural beings, but seeing there is no critical movement on the internet or anywhere, there is nothing like these werewolves or others. If you think about it another way, maybe there were, but then they just became extinct, and none left, no one can say clearly. Bella thought many things; even she felt her thoughts are unbelievable to think like that.

We didn't need to get into the specifics of our sex life. The discovery of another supernatural species was disturbing but not surprising. It would be small-minded to think that only one type of supernatural creature existed in our world. I may not be happy that they want to go to war with my mate, but I was excited to learn about them and any other creatures that may be out there.

Articles and articles about energy drinks, diet plans, and gym recommendations popped up. Scrolling down, I caught an article about 'Supernatural Beings And Their Powers.' I clicked on it and let the words register in my mind. There were mentions of werewolves, vampires, lycans, mermaids, sirens, warlocks, and whatnot. But in the same article, it was also written that all these creatures are fictional and there was no evident proof to suggest that they exist in reality.

I ask, wanting answers about how we ended up in the middle of a mythical creatures’ war. “All I know is something broke the barrier of the worlds, causing things to go out of balance. My father said there was a spell cast on the night stalkers so they couldn’t shift back to human, only during full moons.” Jay clarifies. “Do you know if my parents are alive?” I question. But am I ready to hear if they aren’t? I’m not sure, but I can’t keep wondering. It’s killing me. Jay grabs my hands. “Kari, some escaped, but I can’t say who. Things were such a blur.”

” That perks my ears up. “Why is that? Don’t believe they exist?” “Umm, no. Not that. It’s interesting, for sure, and I choose to believe anything is possible. It’s stupid and narrow minded to think that humans are the only intelligent creatures in the universe. I’m sure that there are beings living on Earth that are what most would consider supernatural that we haven’t discovered yet. I mean, we discover new plant life and ocean life all the time. I just have a hard time with those books because they give me nightmares.”

The charred body and the torn flesh seemed more like something a human would do. Humans hadn't interfered with supernatural beings for a long time. The last disruption occurred in the year nineteenth century, resulting in a significant war. The conflict between supernatural beings and humans was brutal, and many human lives were lost in the war. While there were casualties among supernatural beings, they didn't compare to the human losses. A truce had been established, with both humans and supernatural beings pledging not to disrupt each other's activities. This agreement led the supernatural beings to move deeper into the mountains, avoiding interactions with humans and their livestock.
