What Is Apocalypse Novels & Stories

"His name is Xyder Holt. One may say he's Sir Holt's burden." Chad was filled with confusion as he looked at him. Xyder crouched by a flower bed on the roadside, digging through the dirt and muttering, "The apocalypse is coming. They're all fools. They don't listen to me, and they'll all die..." "Xyder, why do you believe the apocalypse is coming?" "Uncle Zayan! Why are you here? The apocalypse is definitely coming from the sky..." Xyder spoke with absolute certainty, even pointing to the sky at the end.

escalated—I was now the posthumous disaster manager: cleaning up after carnage, apologizing to neighbors, begging forgiveness, and still having to earn money. At 23, fresh out of college, I had been full of ambition, thinking I could make something of myself. Two years later, I had become the bottom of the food chain, feeling guilty for even stepping over a sewer rat. Looking back, I realized: the four of us, the family I had built, had survived together through every hardship. And now, the apocalypse was coming. With the apocalypse, there would come zombies. Strong, fast, countless. A single bite from those teeth, top and bottom, was lethal.

Going head-to-head with him would only end up with both parties wounded, and this might affect my survival rate during the apocalypse. The most important thing to do right now was to use the last of my time to hoard enough water and provisions to get through the heat apocalypse. The only problem I had was finding a hiding place for them. If I headed back to my hometown now, I might die on the way. I thought about this for a while and suddenly had an idea.

Jake stared at the message for a moment, then typed back. Jake: [I do have some. But nine rounds aren't enough. Antibiotics are rare.] In this apocalypse, not everyone had a safe, armored RV like his. If someone got injured and the wound got infected, antibiotics were the only thing that could save them. Without them, if your body couldn't fight it off... you just slowly died. Bella: [Fifteen. That's my limit.] Jake: [No, no...]

"It's starting. Whatever you predicted, it's starting. And we're out of time." Maya followed him through chaos. Other prisoners being processed out. Guards abandoning their posts. People running. In the processing room, Daniel was waiting with Sloane. "The apocalypse," Daniel said without preamble. "It's not in twelve days. It's happening now. Temperature drops across the northeast. Sudden, catastrophic. The Governor issued an emergency order releasing you because—" The lights flickered. Went out. Emergency backup kicked in. "—because the power grid is failing," Daniel finished. "Maya, we need to get to the shelter. Right now."

"No. But if it isn't, won't we have to repeat the Great Rebirth?" Then, turning to Lux, he said, "Your divination is without peer, Lux. Can you see if it is the Coffin of the Gods?" "It's the real deal." Lux smiled and nodded. "It's the core of the apocalypse, an entity that can wipe out all life… The Elysium and the Trinity are now aware, and we can expect trouble. Still, our Pantheon really managed to fool them this time…" Everyone sighed in relief but soon fumed briefly, though that alone shook the very air around them.

"If they choose not to participate in your Convergence?" "Then reality fractures anyway, but uncontrolled. Billions die as dimensions collapse into each other randomly." Seraphine's expression was serious. "The Convergence is happening whether we want it or not. The barriers are failing. We've been tracking the degradation for centuries. In eighteen years, they collapse completely. The only question is whether we guide that collapse or let it destroy everything." "You're saying the apocalypse is inevitable," Marcus said. "I'm saying change is inevitable. Whether it's apocalyptic depends on preparation."

No longer cloaked in the beauty of his delusion his beastly appearance was visible to the world. “And you are one ugly son of a bitch.” Lucifer reeled and Gabriel took his chance. He lunged forward but Lucifer let out a roar so powerful it blew him tumbling back toward the tree line. The Reapers leaped to their feet swords at the ready. “This world and everything in it is going to burn,” Lucifer seethed. “For I am the apocalypse!”

She didn't dare to prevaricate about this predicament we're in. Guess, I have to be neutral with my views about this matter. "We were caught off guard by the hints of the apocalypse that abruptly arose during the day. The downpour was a scapegoat that inevitably we can't control. Hence, the government suspected that the virus ripened through that, whom the unidentified person stirred something in the rain. Certainly, they did a terrific deed on spewing the drizzle with exotic granules and motley into a mass as it receded down the Earth."

Their instinct was to pass the virus and eat their victims. This virus caught people off-guard. Because it wasn't concealed from the public, people began to panic. People fled left and right, and the government lost control of the people. It made it harder for the higher-ups to minimize the damage, and it also made it easy for the virus to spread. Lack of action led to the world's first-ever apocalypse in modern times—many people died no matter who they were. Rich, poor, kids, older people, women, men—everyone was affected.
