His smile was contagious. “Yes, indeed,” he said. “Then there’s you, Elyssa, whose last name is unknown. I wonder why that is.”
Her shoulders dipped as she lowered herself to the bed’s edge. “I have a name,” she said. Her gaze fell on him as she said, “I’ve always had a name.”
“Of course, the goddess would never match an alpha with a female of lesser class,” he said, entering her room. “But you’re not an Ewing elite, I know that for sure.”
