Her hips were practically perfect, fitting her tall slim figure. She adjusted her shirt properly, and cleared her throat a little trying not to stare at anyone. For hell sake, it was Valentine's day and Sam was being a jerk, how could he not even care when it was also her birthday. Valerie sighed when she looked at the glass of wine. Just one more sip from it, and that would be all. She decided to take just another glass and then leave if he still doesn't show up. Taking the last sip of her wine, Valerie poured a little more quantity inside the glass and dropped the bottle on the table.

After driving through the streets of Barangay Dyes, Vince parked right in front of the first place he said where they would meet. Dear Xania, I don't know what happened to you and the reason why you can't come to our school. I hope you're safe and doing okay by now. Well whatever it is, I hope you can tell me once we meet. This coming Saturday is actually February 14, which is Valentine's day, and I am inviting you for us to have fun. Don't think of it as a date, but maybe a way for us to know each other better. And I heard her voice before I saw her. “Baby, your assistant said it's a woman. Who is she?” Zane's voice followed, smooth and detached. “I don't have any meetings scheduled. Let's see who it is.” Then came the sound of lips meeting. It was a kiss. “Valentine's Day is tomorrow. Don't forget to get something beautiful for your wife,” she said. Wife? My chest tightened. My hand knocked over a flower vase, sending it crashing to the floor as the woman jumped.

How fitting her and Noah's last day together be Valentine's-a holiday they both despised and was the epitome of everything they rejected about romantic love.
