The Friend Trap

The Friend Trap

Gabe said, and it looked pained to even think it. “It isn’t an easy thing to have to deal with. I really do feel for you.” Max said as he looked at the other man. “But whatever you decide, it will be the right thing. Also, remember that the dead don’t have a timetable either. They aren’t going anywhere.” “And that means?” Gabe asked.

The Art Of Dying

The Art Of Dying

"Buildings aren't supposed to move!" "Nothing here is supposed to do anything it's doing!" Walter cut through another tendril with his blade. "Just keep running!" The controlled deadies were gaining on us. They didn't tire or slow down. They didn't hesitate when running over ground that was trying to swallow them. The city was using them as weapons and it didn't care if they got damaged in the process. One of them lunged at Willow. She dodged but barely. The deadie crashed into a wall and the wall absorbed it. Just pulled it right in like it was made of gel. The deadie's face pressed against the surface for a moment before sinking deeper and disappearing completely.

Death's Day

Death's Day

Shutting her eyes, she reached out to the wall and… couldn’t touch it. She stumbled and fell on the ground, moving further than she was supposed to. The wall was supposed to be there. She ought to have fallen against the wall, but she tumbled farther onto the road. Leaden footsteps sounded down the street as she picked herself up from the ground. She turned back to see the wall that she had fallen through and touched her body to make sure she was still fine. Then she pinched herself. Nothing happened. This was happening. KEEP UP! She hurried after the leaden steps, running through the streets late at night, only realizing now that she had spent the whole day at the museum after killing the p

They all realized that sound as the fast-approaching footsteps. "The dead cannot move this fast" Amber exclaimed hearing that noise. "The newly dead can. If the body is still fresh and the person died just a few days ago, then all their muscles and reflexes will be still in working condition. So they can move as fast they could move before they died" Lucifer explained. Amber is scared of them. She had to spend a few days in the dark world when Ornan captured her. "I am scared" she whispered. Lucifer's protective instinct instantly rose to the surface.

He used a transporter to send us into a vacuum, to rid us without a trace, and because of their information, they were able to get to us before we shifted or, for our understanding, before we died. “If we died, we would just have gone back in time, right?” James asked. “No boy, because death doesn’t exist”. She replied, “What?” We were shocked by her statement. She explained that humans or life in general doesn’t die but shifts to a similar dimension where it exists, and continues from there, with no memory at all of what has happened to said life. “So, what makes us special?” I asked. “Because you can remember”, she replied. “And…... we call any life form that can recall shifting events, Pr

Oops, I've Been Exposed

Oops, I've Been Exposed

Someone with sharp eyes noticed that the corpse on the ground had moved slightly. But they weren't sure whether it had actually moved or if it was just an illusion. After all, the son was still lying on top of the "corpse". What if it was the son who moved and he moved the corpse along with him? Not only did they think so, but the "corpse" itself thought the same, so it continued to play dead. "You stubborn fool!" Woody struck out a sweeping motion with his palm!

Knotting the Hunter

Knotting the Hunter

"Not just this thing. The smell. Under the rot." I've been choking on the rot. I push past it. And there it is. The same wrongness that was carved into the birch. I study the thing we killed. I’ve seen enough dead to know the stages of decomposition. This didn't die Tuesday with a cute phone in its pocket. "It's old," I say. "Been dead a long time." Dax goes still. "The ones going missing," he says slowly. "They're disappearing alive." "Yeah." "So this isn't one of them."

This book is so good! The 3 books I’ve read so far from this author are on my top 5 favorite on this app and this one is about to be #4! Love the writing style and love the humor in the story. I’m rooting for Dax and Noah!

Really enjoying this book so far, this is definitely one of my favorites male male books I've read on here. Quinn is really good at those it seems. Especially the relationships, but the side characters and conflict are super compelling too. Excited to read more.

The Banished Luna: She Was Meant To Rule

The Banished Luna: She Was Meant To Rule

The Totality is standing between my two selves still offering forced merge. The Collectors are waiting for answer about archiving me. And the Council’s three angry members are counting down to Reset with satisfaction. “Two days and twenty hours remaining,” they announce. Then something shifts in the gap that makes Anna gasp. “The three thousand dead are moving,” she says with shock. “All of them at once, unified in purpose.” I look through Death’s Keeper awareness and see it happening, the three thousand souls I anchored as Void-Dead, who I protected as Death’s Shepherd, all rising with singular intent.

Rejected by Her Alpha Mate: Desired by Another

Rejected by Her Alpha Mate: Desired by Another

Why was I so engrossed in my own pain and forgot his own pain? Tears were pouring down my face. Suddenly Damian’s forehead twitched. “He moved…” I blurted, wiping my eyes hoping they weren't playing a trick on me. “He moved? How can a dead body move?” No one believed me. But then as I wiped my tears again, it dropped on him and he twitched again. I gasped. It was my tears. My tears were waking him up.

THE VILLAINESS REMEMBERED ME:In Every Timeline, She Chose De

THE VILLAINESS REMEMBERED ME:In Every Timeline, She Chose De

She was awake in the watcher's presence, the way the flowers were awake in the sun. "The dead are not speaking to me anymore," Ember said to Mira. "Not because they are silent—because I am listening differently. I do not need dreams. I need presence." Mira looked at her. "What do the dead feel like now?" Ember placed her hand on the stone bench. "They feel like warmth. Like the stone after the sun has set. Like the memory of a hand held." Mira nodded. "That is what Clara said. That the dead are not gone. They are in the soil. In the roots. In the watcher."
