Nina Callie and I head to the smoothie shop, both of us still a bit breathless from the run. The city is just waking up, and the shop is already buzzing with people. The scent of fresh fruit and protein powder hits me as soon as we walk through the door. “I’m getting something with acai,” Callie says, practically bouncing on her toes as she scans the menu. “I need all the antioxidants I can get after that workout.” I roll my eyes. “You’re so dramatic. I’ll just take the beetroot and ginger smoothie. I need a detox after... everything.”

"Hmm, I'll have a spinach quiche and a green superfood smoothie." I smiled as the waiter grabbed my menu. "A superfood smoothie, eww." Rachel frowned. "I know, but I've not eaten much. Lately, I've been too depressed and don't have much appetite. A smoothie is the best way to ensure I eat something healthy, even if it's not much." I sighed.

“Wait, wait, wait. You like smoothies right?” “Yeah. Who doesn’t?” “Then check this out.” said Tres, his voice dripping with excitement. He led James over to what looked like a smoothie machine on first inspection. James was incredulous. “No way!” “Believe it, bro. Fresh fruit juices, yogurt, and a few additives, makes for one very happy student body. You’ve got any combo of strawberry, banana, orange, blueberry, apple, cherry, vanilla, and even chocolate for the base. Then choose a type of yogurt and pick an additive and you’ve got yourself one helluva smoothie.”

But nevertheless, I was not complaining. I stared at the steps online, rereading the instructions carefully on how to make a smoothie. Roman had mentioned he loved them, so I had wanted to surprise him before he got back with a glass or two, maybe. The thought alone already had me smiling and I couldn't wait to be done. The ingredients were all set on the kitchen counter in a transparent bowl and the vast colours coming from all the fruits made me excited that I could almost not wait for the outcome. Well I shrugged since I am not the one spending the money there's no big deal about it. " Bring two sharwama in which one is worth 1K. Do you have drinks to go with it?" My aunt completed her order with a question. " Yes certainly." The young man replied. " We have zobo drink, tiger nuts, smoothie and orangeade." " What will you like?" My aunt asked turning to face me. " Tiger nut drink sounds fine for me." I replied. " I thought you were gonna want the orangeade. Bring the tiger nuts drink please."

Carissa huffed, marching to the kitchen to grab a giant glass of iron-boost smoothie — spinach, banana, almond butter, and whatever else she could throw in. Like a helpless puppy, Harper took the cup and looked at her with wide, innocent eyes. “Carissa… you’re the best.” “Don’t start. If I didn’t have work today, yesterday’s fiasco between us wouldn’t have ended! Do you realize that?” She spoke while heading to the door, changing shoes, ready to leave for work. “Got it, got it.” Harper drank the smoothie in one go. Carissa sighed, warning her, “Don’t run around today. Rest properly.”

Hints of mango, orange, pineapple and mixed berries hit my tongue with an explosion. "I love the sunrise smoothies." I said excitedly.

For some, it might look as he was only taking good care of his pregnant wife. “Smoothie?” Andromeda questioned, the tea was at least familiar to her, but the word smoothie didn’t seem to ring a bell. Azrael placed the drink in front of hers, this one was made from three different berries, namely, strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries, all extracted from real fruits. With a sip, the woman felt refreshed, “It’s delicious!” she exclaimed while some of the traces of the smoothie remained on the top of her lips.
