Grabbing myself the biggest cup of my favorite soda took all of one second, then my gaze swept the drinks. My eyes caught on a premade smoothie with an assload of vegetables and added protein, and my lips curved into a grin as I grabbed it. It was so funny. Setting my drinks on the empty counter, I reached for my backpack, then realized I wasn’t wearing it.

Someone even added chili flakes, like this was some kind of fancy café. Parfaits were lined up like a P*******t mom went rogue—layers of fruit, thick yogurt, and granola stacked in clear cups like it was a competition. I counted five. Maybe six. Right next to them were warm bowls of what looked like quinoa hash, all steamy and colorful like someone dumped the farmer’s market in there—sweet potatoes, kale, peppers, the whole rainbow. There were two tall pitchers in the center of the table. One was a berry smoothie, deep red and probably antioxidant-packed. The other? Coconut water. Fancy. Like, we-get-it-you’re-hydrated fancy.

She took our hands and pulled us to a bubble tea shop "Please pick anything." She said, I looked at the menu "I'll just get a yoghurt smoothie." I said "Matcha macchiato please." Lia said "I'm Red Velvet smoothie please." This ahjumma is cool She payed for it and she bid her goodbyes. We get a free drinks. Me and Lia giggled. "Let's continue to our destination." Lia pulled me to the restaurant. We sat there and looked at the menu.

“I was out shopping and wanted to get a bite to eat, so I popped in here. I didn’t expect you to be working today, though.” He nodded, still confused. Then, when she dwindled off, he pasted a smile on his face and asked, “What can I get you?” Shea looked up at the menu board and said, “I’ll have a mango smoothie, please.” He wrote it down, then waited, staring at her with his pencil poised to write more, before asking, “Did you want anything else?” She shook her head and said, “That’ll do. I’m not that hungry right now.”

I asked and she smiled putting away her phone leaning over kissing me softly. "I got you that shrimp pasta thing you like," I mumbled pulling away reaching for the bag in the backseat handing it to her. "Thank you baby," she whispered and I smiled starting the car. "They didn't have the strawberry smoothie, so I bought the cherry with lime, but if you don't want it we can stop at the one on Plant Street on our way home," I mumbled reffering to the smoothie in the cup holder as I checked my surroundings pulling out of the parking spot.
