The Shadows whispered. "Drake?" Angel said, fear engulfing her voice. "What is going on? What are these creatures?!" She stammered, her voice trembling as tears welled up in her eyes. I felt the knot in my stomach constrict, as a sense of dread and helplessness washed over me. Frozen in time, I knew the reality was stark and brutal. Laurent stood at the side clad in white, looking straight ahead, his yellow-green eyes cold as ice and hands wound behind his back like a soldier. His head held up, proud.

I forced my eyes opened, as it's four feathered wings flapped lazily, the thing so big, I was probably staring at only twenty-five percent of its body. It had a row of eight eyes, the center being the biggest one, and it was the only one that was opened, the other seven closed. "Be afraid, for I have orders to neutralize the beings that threaten Paradise." it said, no mouth moving. At this point, I had fallen on my back, staring up at this thing with wide eyes. I'd known of these angels existence, but they were only sent out when things were dire, or they felt like an enemy was too strong to be existing.

She just knew that this was her life, it had become a game and in the game which was now her life humiliation was frequent and love would be far away from the whole drama. “I really can’t deal with a cry baby- go on, go away for some time and get yourself sorted out” Shawn would have backed her up. I haven't seen a single tear rolling out of his eyes. I was so angry, he just behaved like he didn't have any disease. He laughed smiled and ate everything without considering his health.
