Rose’s smile sharpened, almost instinctively
“You remind Liam of someone.” She said, lifting her glass. “Someone he used to know.”
My hand stilled mid-air.
“We don’t talk about her anymore,” Rose added, taking a slow sip from her glass of wine.
“Poor girl. Died in an accident.” She slouched a bit.
The air was thick with tension.
“Rose, that’s no way to speak,” Kabir muttered sharply beside her.
