When It Pours It Rains Novels & Stories

It was tidbits at first, slow and small amount of water, until the sounds of falling and plopping become denser and packed. It was pouring. The sky was dark as the black, thick clouds were covering the moon. All the streetlights were foggy and barely lighting because of the heavy rain. The downpour was sudden, as it was; many people started rushing to seek shelters in the nearby sheds or just simply run to get into their respective households. “Althea? What are you doing there? It’s cold!”

(Almira's POV) It’s raining again. Not the kind of storm that rips trees apart or makes the sky look like it’s bleeding—just a soft, persistent drizzle. It slicks the earth, darkens the windowpanes, and blankets the world in a hush. Everything feels quieter in the rain.

I can feel moisture in the air itself, waiting, ready to obey. I extend my hand over the flowers, focusing on the pull inside me. A second passes, and then another, before the sky above responds. Rain falls, not in delicate drops, but in a sudden downpour, drenching the flowers and the ground beneath my feet. I watch in stunned silence as the rain cascades down, soaking everything in its path.

He slowly put me down then grab a towel in locker. “Thanks,” I murmured. He look down on me and just nod. I wiped the droplets of rain on my arms. From here, I could here the loud pouring of rain. The rain fell down constantly like an endless bucket of water being poured down from the heavens. It’s a relief that we finished our shooting before it rained. “Can I give you a ride?” Rain falls like it means to wash us away, like it means to keep hammering until we smudge like a Monet masterpiece. I watched how the droplets of rain run down on the window shield, racing from one another.

"Gosh, I hate the rain," I muttered when I felt the showers of rain begin to pour. Rain makes the sand muddy, it's dark, and it's... sad. Since I'm an outgoing person, I can't bear with it. What I meant was my shoes could get dirty, and it's sad because I couldn't party well, couldn't shop well.

The storm has arrived and under the cover of the night sky, nature unleashes its fury in the form of a relentless rainstorm. As the first raindrops fall, they patter gently against his car surface, creating a soothing melody that contrasts with the impending intensity. The streets, once dry and quiet, transform into shimmering mirrors as rainwater collects, reflecting the glow of streetlights and the occasional flicker of lightning.

The clear night sky suddenly covers with heavy dark clouds. Slowly, the small droplets of rain begun pouring down from the sky and as the second passed by it turns heavy creating a clattering sound as it hits on the roof of the car. The beautiful night sky turn gloomy and the glass window beside me slowly covers with moist and fogs.

It just understands you. To a person having a good day, it is rain full of happiness. And to a person having a bad day, it just acts as something to bury your sorrows in. It lets you be who you are without anyone knowing. That's what I love about rain. Holding different meanings for different people. I look back again. And still, notice the car standing there. I reach out and touch my heart. It was beating wildly against my chest. I wonder if his heart was beating in the same rhythm too?

12th September 2027, It’s raining outside. That’s the first thing that I realize after finally leaving the building. This whole time, my mind had been void of any emotions or feelings, just an eternity of darkness. It took the pitter patter of the rain to finally bring me back in my senses.
