As the rain poured relentlessly outside, I found myself drawn to the window, my heart heavy with a mix of nerves and unexplained sadness. Each raindrop seemed to mirror the strange ache within me, falling with a gentle but persistent rhythm. “Who is she?.......” I mumbled to myself watching the droplets slide down the glass, blurring the world outside, mirroring the unexplainable tears that threatened to escape my eyes. The pitter-patter of rain became a soothing soundtrack to my racing thoughts, as I grappled with the weight of my emotions.

I said trying to pick up the conversation because Preeti don't talk much and I love to hear her voice. "Hmmm..." she hummed. "Do you like rain?" I asked. "Not much, Actually I like it when it pour slowly at day time. But I hate it when it pour heavily at night and thunder make it worse in my case. I freaked out usually and I want someone beside me." She said with a soft chuckle. I chuckled too. The small drops of rain pore on the front glass of the car and soon rain poured slowly just Preeti's like. "You like rain?" She asked.

She scrutinized me, her lower lip slightly quivering, thinking I couldn't answer that. I leaned in closer until my breath brushed against her skin, and her intoxicating scent filled my nostrils, enveloping me. My voice took on a rough, seductive edge as I murmured, "Because when it rains, you find beauty in sadness. Some people feel melancholy when it rains. But not you. For you, rain brings joy and a sense of being alive. The sound of rain comforts and calms you. It reminds you that a little rain is necessary for flowers to bloom. He had seemed kind and genuinely interested in helping. Just as Olivia's thoughts were spiraling into despair, the heavy sound of thunderstorm disrupted her reverie. Nathalie's POV (Continuation) Rain. Four words that means so much in the world where illegal things are turned to legal. Rain, as far as I know is a reaper and a member of a mafia, I heard that she's good at pretending like someone, she's clever as a fox.

“Ouch! Sh*t!” I yelled when I dashed my big toe unintentionally against a stone, going through the woods to find refuge under the heavy rain pouring down tonight with my broken heart. Why does it always have to rain each time I'm having a bad day? I guess it's just me alone against the world.

The strength of the downpour is like a typhoon but there is nothing, because when my other helpers come here sometimes I ask them what the weather forecast is. Yesterday it rained like it didn't want to stop. Sometimes it makes me think that maybe it's raining because they share in the pain I feel, that the sky is crying for me. Sometimes because I have no more tears to release from my eyes when the ending ends, I just sit dumbfounded.

For the first time, it rains. It pounds the stone walls, swirling around the spires and turrets. It caresses the clear windows, dripping from each stone like blood. It must be the wrath of God, coming to us in liquid terror... a symbol of worse things to come.
