A Surgeon's Unraveling

A Surgeon's Unraveling

she said, chin held high, "Scott loves me. I suggest you back off before things get ugly. He told me that he only came to this godforsaken place because you pressured him into it. If it were up to him, he never would've become a field doctor. "Save yourself the humiliation and break up with him. Do you really want to be the pathetic one clinging to a man who's already moved on?" My hand trembled as I snapped open an ampoule. The jagged edge sliced deep into my skin. Blood poured down my wrist. She smiled faintly, eyes gleaming with triumph. "Still not giving up, Dr. Armstrong? No matter. You'll know soon enough who Scott chooses." She leaned in closer. I instinctively stepped back, but she s

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

A sense that one wrong word, one wrong move, one wrong look, and she’d unravel like the skein of yarn in her lap. Chassie watched Carolyn knitting feverishly. The result of her rapidly moving fingers was a pale blue lump piled beside her.

As I look at my year in review, this author and book collection has been monumental in reigniting my hunger for reading. I can't track most of the books from this app easily for my year end count but in my heart this book means the most. I wish I could buy a printed version of each of these. .........

Only up to the first 3 stories...and I loved them! I wondered why the book was so big but it's broken down with several stories so when I get time, I'll read them accordingly. Pretty well written/edited and certain to make you desire more than you can handle.

Bound to the moon

Bound to the moon

“This is poison made to unravel the mind — not to kill, but to confuse, to make the victim doubt herself, to make the pack doubt her sanity.” My stomach twisted. I thought of every scratch, every nightmare, every time I’d spoken to Riven as though he were still alive. She turned next to my bed. With a sharp flick of her wrist, she tore the pillow open. A fine black dust poured out like sand. She pinched some between her fingers, then let it fall back, and the particles seemed to hiss against the firelight. When she threw a pinch into the flame, the smoke

There are too many inconsistencies in storyline. Fir example, Emily is to proven guilty at the same time proven innocent by Chloe and her team. Max is the culprit then Max is helping Emily. Lucas is Emily brother, then Lucas is prosecuting Emily. It's really difficult to follow the story.

It could be a good story, but it is translated very poorly. Many phrases make no sense at all, and it’s too difficult to try to understand what is meant. I hope the author considers using a better translator, in future.

Secrets and Fortune

Secrets and Fortune

he replied softly, his heart open to whatever she had to reveal. With a deep breath, Andrea began to recount a part of her past that she had kept hidden even from herself. She shared her experiences of loss and heartbreak, the scars that had shaped her in ways she had yet to fully comprehend. She bared her soul, unearthing the pain and vulnerability that lay dormant within her.

Elixir: Fated To The Three Alpha

Elixir: Fated To The Three Alpha

Didn’t shout. But she lit a flame at the altar that didn’t go out. It burned through rain. Through wind. Through magic. It only burned for her. That night, I watched her from a distance. Soren approached, dropping beside me in the grass. “She’s breaking,” I said. “No,” he replied. “She’s shedding.” I blinked. “What?” “She’s unlocking whatever she buried to survive the first war.” I swallowed. “And if she can’t control it?” “Then we hold the pieces until she can.”

Ryder; Lord of Astaroth

Ryder; Lord of Astaroth

She read the book again; to heal and to heat up. With her other hand, she undid her robe, exposing her naked body to the light. She unwrapped the bandage around her abdomen and let the bloody cloth fall to the floor. She caressed the injury with a finger, it was the first time she was seeing it after it had been stitched and indeed, it looked terrible.

Unravelling The Eve Within

Unravelling The Eve Within

Whenever she acted up, she felt such feelings and knew she needed to be away from people; however, she could not. Clinging to her talisman, she struggled to maintain composure till she was out of the main hall and staggered the rest of her way to the bathroom, where she slumped as she got in. She secured the door lock and felt nausea overcome her as she threw up all over the toilet seat, holding onto it for support. She tried to keep her mind clear, but it was too late; she had held it in for too long, trying to deal with the fact that she couldn’t have the life she had always dreamed of, all because of a gift she had never asked for. It was stupid, just plain stupid.
