Falling for a John
"Do I need facial reconstructive surgery? A brain transplant tomorrow? Maybe a full-body cast and a coffin fitting?"
I smile, chewing my gum. This guy, seriously. "You can keep going."
He glares. "I'm done."
"That's a shame," I say seriously, sliding off the counter, my chest brushing against his. I continue to hold onto his jaw. "I do love witnessing a Harvard Dropout diagnose a nosebleed as a catastrophic injury."
If he could, he would flip me off.
My hand descends, and I massage the back of his neck. My other fingers hover near his wrist. "The bleeding seems to have slowed down." I guide his hand away from his nose, preventing further pinching. No more blood dripping. That's good.
