Chapter 1: The Moon’s Call The full moon hung heavy in the sky as I stepped off the bus into the remote mountain town of Silverpine. I had come here seeking answers about my mother’s mysterious past, never expecting the pull I felt the moment my feet touched the ground. The air seemed charged, alive with something wild and ancient that called to a part of me I had always tried to ignore.

He begged and begged. He took his hand in hers. “Lily, Lily, talk to me!” He cried. Lily just smiled softly as she pushed her cold, pale head against Liam’s skin. “Warm,” was all she said. “CAN I GET A DOCTOR OVER HERE!” Liam screamed, voice still cracking like shattered porcelain. “NOW!”
